He was paid like crap to win a national championship. The buyout made up for that. It was money well spent. We now have a real coach. To criticize our AD is comical. We have a top 15 men’s basketball program that is relevant for the first time in decades. Women’s basketball is back to being relevant. Johnson and Kelly both appear to be great hires. This is the best position the LSU athletic program has been in in decades.

Just appreciate O for bringing us the greatest season ever and be glad Woodward didn’t let him stay longer than he did. LSU sports is in a really good place right now.

O didn't have the "vision" or desire to be remembered as an all time great. He just wanted to cash in and be lazy. I appreciate him for assembling the staff and team of 2019 but he showed his arse when he stopped working after winning it all.

It won't take 3 years. With the mass exodus to transfer portal these days you can fully rebuild a team in year 1 if you play your cards right.

And yeah, frick O. He got paid probably because he had dirt on LSU. That's the only reason. LSU has too many negatives around the program and investigations to let that dumbass go around spilling the beans. He talks too much and he certainly would've buried LSU if they didn't pay to keep his mouth shut.

I'm pretty sure they covered stuff up for him which if his reputation was shot and LSU fired him for cause, he probably would've buried the program with him. That's what you get when you hire someone who was never qualified to be a HC at LSU in the first place and love twisting knives in the back of people.

If Brennan stays healthy and LSU hits the transfer portal hard, you're looking at a good winning season possibly 9-10 wins depending on who you get. That's not wishful thinking that's how it works now in NCAA. Your mindset is set into how it use to work in NCAA not how it's working right now. Anyone worth a salt at a small college who fell through cracks in recruiting is going to the transfer portal to make more money, get recognition, and improve their stock. All-American potential guys. Even those as starters are in the portal. It's nothing short of elite talent and LSU already got someone who has very high potential. You can tamper on other teams and get them to transfer just like what happened to us with Ricks. All you need to do is show the cheddar. The portal is full and many will fall through the cracks. Right now it shouldn't be hard for LSU to have a complete roster turnover in 1 year.

Be happy that Kelly already recognized this and is targeting it hard. He did his best to nationally recruit on TV the other day in the transfer portal basically saying, "Hey, LSU you can start day 1 right now".
