JJ now has a felony arrest, Lee does not!

How are your Ducks doing? Any with felony arrests?

Good point. But with Ware and company (O-line) you guys should be able to pick up 2 yards in tough situations.
The same could have been said for Ridley. He's a terrific back.

I'll ignore most of your post. I'm not going to make light of some of the concerns with the recent past at Oregon.

As for how the Ducks are doing........

Rumor has it that Kelly was very pleased with how both the offense and defense are coming together (last week). Never heard that out of a coach this early in fall camp before. Sounds like the offense and defense are hitting stride earlier than expected. Just hope they keep getting better over the next week.

Good point. Seems everyone is always talking about Ware this and Ware that....... Heck, Ridley was 1000 yds plus last year. That's a good RB

JJ would throw the short out into the bleachers...

JL will throw it to the other team...

Lee throws a real pretty ball. I just wish he didn't throw off his back foot and into double coverage. If he keeps from doing this against Oregon, we'll be fine.

With all the receivers open, Mr. Jefferson has the ability to run the ball...hey wait!

Lee offers significantly better passing from the QB, but is much less mobile. He can run, unlike some on here are complaining, but he's not a runner and will try to pass when possible.

Anyone claiming JJ is a better leader is on crack. You can't gain anything from leadership from either guy. No offense to JJ, but I've never seen him as a leader outside of his jocksniffers.

People claiming LSU runs the ball better with JJ are also making shite up. Statistically in games where Lee played significant snaps, the running game was identical or better with Lee in the game, but let them keep saying it wasn't.

In the end, both offered different things, and JJ was a little tougher to defend because of his mobility, while Lee is more difficult to depend as a passer. Lee improved last year compared to the previous two, while JJ regressed.

As for Lee, the two things I care about are his past two seasons, not his RS Freshman season. In his time in the last two seasons, He's passed for 4 TDs, 2 INTs. Jefferson was at 7 TDs and 10 INTs plus 8 fumbles just in last season.

Both still were flawed, but at least one improved while the other regressed significantly last season. Again, claiming JJ is somehow a better leader than Lee is laughable at best. You don't pull your true leader out of the game when you have to have a game winning drive, ever, like they did with JJ last year.

Exactly, this to me shows extreme trust from the coaching staff as far as Lee's composure/ability.

Simply put... JJ did not, did not have the ability to drop back and make good decisions where to throw the ball downfield. He would lock on to a receiver or under pressure get "happy feet" and get sacked. He would have been a good wishbone or double wing QB, but in the shotgun.. forget it. We saw his best, and it wasn't very good (average at best.) Now this is not to say JL or Met are better, but LSU has a better chance to win the BCS with either ; not with JJ.

Per NFL Draft Scout:

JJ: 40 Time: 4.64 40 Low: 4.53 40 High: 4.76
JL: 40 Time: 4.74 40 Low: 4.67 40 High: 4.80

JL can get outside of a collapsing pocket, but he's a lot more focused on getting the ball out of his hand than tucking it under his arm.

That being said, if the play calls for him to run (option, boot), I don't think he'll have terribly much trouble. He'll be significantly less effective than JJ, but I think his "look-down-the-field" ability more than makes up for it.

JL can't outrun the average de in the sec. he is a sitting duck in the pocket. teams will not have to game plan for his running ability.

JL won't make 4 or 5 games without getting hurt. mett will come and its more of the same (since mett has no sec experience).

lsu will need a 3rd qb, will it be jj or randall?
we will need someone to keep defenses guessing because our QBs are not good enough otherwise

When Jefferson is in the game, I am usually disappointed.

When Lee is in the game, I am usually scared to death.
