So help me out here. Just what was it that JJ had that Lee doesn't?

Run vs pass
Though that's what we have fricking runningbacks for.

One is suspended, the other is not.

The ability to run the ball. When all the receivers are covered, JJ had the ability to break a long one. With all the receivers covered, Lee will still try to get the ball to them.

About as accurate a statement as you can get on this subject.

LSU ran an ugly short side option with JJ, but also ran a little read option and he had some pretty good success at it..
JJ's strength was rolling out and throwing on the run or using his legs.. but his short accuracy was atrocious IMO.
I like to see Lee get the ball to his playmakers.

Hope he didn't stash those in his shoes.

Hopefully these were picked up by the BR cops when they searched Jeffersons apartment thus making it safe for Les to suspend him.
ETA: Also Jefferson had a habit of holding onto the ball too long and taking a sack whereas Lee will put the ball up for grabs under pressure.

So basically, JJ brought the run option and Lee is more of a traditional NFL style pocket passer. Can Lee take a hit?

Lee has not played a full season, so that remains a question as to whether he can take a hit.. He was knocked out of the starters role bc of a hit as a freshman.

Does Lee "force" many passes? He's a senior, he should be smart enough to throw it in the stands if everyone's covered.

And vice versa. When there are people open, JJ is more prone to overlook them and get sacked or take too long to recognize the open man and throw too late. Or run but let's not act like JJ carried a 12 yd average rushing.

I must say Jefferson could definitely take a hit, as well as break tackles on the run.
