New SI (consider the source) article declares Trevor Lawrence as the best QB to come out of college into the NFL in a decade! What???
You mean the guy that lost the NCG to Joe "Heisman" Burrow from LSU!

Being a better prospect does not mean that he was a better player. There is a distinct difference when you were talking about professional measurables. No need to get offended about every little thing.

This is about NFL potential.

Literally the only thing Trevor has on Joe is arm strength. And Joe has more than enough of that to go along with everything else he is superior at.
But these people crowned Trevor 3 years ago as the best ever. They can't admit they're wrong, now.

Being a "prospect" is also about more than just measurables. If it were only about that, Trevor doesn't really stand out over all the other big, strong armed QBs that come out every year.
If you're going to rate a prospect, there has to be something he does on the field that separates him from others. Like I said in my above comment, Trevor only has one attribute over Joe, and that is arm strength. Joe shredded Trevor in every category in 2019, and did so against far superior competition.
This is just lazy prognostication, hyping a guy up because what he did to Bama as a freshman, and they all thought he would break every record. It didn't quite work out that way, despite his free ride through a cupcake schedule every year.

Burrow has more pocket awareness, and is a more decisive runner. He knows where to run to pick up a first down.
Lawrence has more acceleration and top end speed in open field, but he'll be sliding in the nfl if he wants to have a long career.
