After catching my breath Saturday, I realized this win felt like one of those Les Miles coached wins where we edge it out by the skin of our teeth.
Just needed to get that off my chest

No, now stop trying to find ways to demean Miles or Orgeron or anyone associated with LSU football. Enjoy the fact a very young LSU team with a true freshman QB went on the road and beat a team which has played well all season. This after bein off for three weeks. Big plays were made by freshmen and sophomores. The future is very bright for this program. We don't need people like you trying to be cute .

Miles and Orgeron both have national titles which were achieved with a few close wins. Winning as they did will pay dividends down the road.

Les Miles wouldn’t have allowed a shitty offense like Arkansas's to put up the numbers that they put up

Go back and check. 2008 LSU gave up 31 points to a 6-4 Troy team.
BTW, Miles wouldn’t have thrown 42 passes.
The play calling was atrocious because our run game is unimaginative and pedestrian.

No fan base can complain about a win like an LSU fan base can complain about a win.

Run plays shouldn't need a lot of imagination. With this line, I think they do better knowing what they have to do. For instance, a RPO they are doing what... just blocking straight up and not giving or gaining any ground so the back picks a gap. Straight run play, regardless of what it looks like in the backfield... they just need to blow open a hole and get guys off the line.

I think Arkansas just brings out the Les Miles in us. But in the current climate, who cares just take the W. Although the clock management at the end of the 1st half did give me deja vu

Penalties, turnovers, lack of use of timeouts and squeaking out a win. I guess you could say that it did feel like a LM coached game.

You're right, cause we never had any close games or losses to arky or ole miss when they were doormats

The clock management at half certainly felt eerily similar.

Absolutely. Especially at the end of the first half where we called a TO AFTER an incomplete pass with 9 seconds left to call a freaking DRAW play to get to the 5 and call a TO and settle for a FG. My Les PTSD was super high

Yes it did indeed - and it was glorious! I’ll take a few more of those this season. Geaux Tigers!

Gone is the high flying road show of last years offense. This was a Les Miles ground fest.

Much more likely to “blow open a hole” with well-designed blocking schemes, especially when tailored to what the defense is giving.
