I show this because I'm not convinced you know what it is. If you were a true Tiger football fan, you would be relishing in what they've done so far and what they are about to do, not rehashing this tired and extremely naive argument in order to boost your post count.

Lee and Jefferson will never be all-Americans, but you can't be serious about this. We're not 7-5. We're an SECCG victory away from the NCG. I mean, not sure what more Les could have done so far this year besides hiring the Packers to play LSU's games. Not sure that's legal though.

I'm not gonna read everyone's else's opinion but the answer the the original question is no. A fair chance means split reps from day one. Mett never even got a fair chance at #2. So no matter how well he did with walk ons and 3rd string players, he never got to move up. His beautiful pass in the spring game and Miles' reaction to it summed it up for me. He was forced to sit, watch and learn to prepare for next season. I'm not saying it was the wrong move but he never was given a chance. No new QB is gonna come in and take reps away from 2 seniors with 3-4 years experience, even with a new system.
