What you are saying simple is incorrect information. We have gotten some great pitchers. We have some right now. Btw how did Florida do last year since you brought them up?

And the whole accepting mediocrity thing: There is some lime between mediocrity and reality. Many LSU baseball fans can not and will not accept that other teams out there are actually putting more effort into baseball now. Paul definitely had one or two teams very capable of winning the whole shabang (I’m looking at you 2013). But it just doesn’t always happen like that. Baseball is the sport where being the BEST team doesn’t count as much as other sports.

Paul isn’t going anywhere this year so why don’t we sit back and try to enjoy this season. There’s plenty of talent on this team, let’s see what this pitching staff is capable of if healthy. Let’s see what the new hitting coach can do.

There was a time not too long ago that corbin couldnt get vandy to omaha and was considered a choker. Funny how quickly those narratives change

Fontenot is the only sort of power arm you mentioned there...... and he was god awful last year until a few magical performances in the postseason that still wasn’t enough because of our easy to shut down lineup.

Those two big arse catchers homie mentioned up there were the Achilles heel of our offense last year, neither could make any contact.

Anyone here arguing for a upper 80s pitcher as not finesse or arguing that Walker can touch 90 so that makes him have some power is utterly clueless.

Hill threw 95 in highschool.

Henry threw 94.

Both of them have added velocity while in college.

Marceaux is the only one of our 3 best pitchers that could be classified as a finesse guy and he regularly runs his fb into the mid to low 90s as well

Since one of those "big arse catchers" this "homie" referred to above was playing in high school last year at Airline HS in Shreveport where he batted .429 as a senior with eight doubles, three triples, 12 homers, 41 RBI, 28 walks and a 1.560 OPS, and was a Perfect Game All-American high school player, I'm done debating with your ignorant arse.

If you woke up tomorrow twice as smart as you are now, you'd still be a moron.

Neither played last year!!!

Who cares if they pump 94 if they don’t stay healthy and we have 0 pitching behind them (neither showed they were great in the limited action they had)

Fontenot got put in a disgusting situation last year and showed heart, we had LITERALLY no pitchers left who could throw a strike. I’m sorry that can’t happen to LSU, idc about injuries every team has them.

Cole Henry threw 58 innings last year and struck out 72 hitters. But he didn’t play and he wasn’t a power pitcher

Hill got hurt early he only pitched in 2 games but he’s healthy now. And in his 10 innings he struck out 11 batters. But he’s not a power pitcher.

Admit you don’t know what you’re talking about and move along

EDIT: Now you're just embarrassing yourself.

I'm 100% ready for a change in baseball leadership.

PM is a good coach, but new blood can be a good thing to reinvigorate the program.

This is not a hate PM post, but sometimes it's just time to move on.

This season will be telling.

So half a season combined is a great sample size correct?

You really have no idea what you’re talking about

Henry appeared in 14 games. Hess appeared on 19 and Hess went back to the bullpen late in the year.

Henry missed maybe 2 or 3 starts all year. You’re making a fool out of yourself

We have been to the CWS 3 of the last 7 seasons. We were in the finals three seasons ago. Some of y'all are terribly unrealistic.

I’m ready for opening day and then I’m ready for 2-3 weeks into the season when all of the football fans leave us alone until the postseason
