If any of the LSU players said they would kneel, sit, or do anything other than stand at attention with their hands over their hearts If I were coaching I would stay in the locker room too.

Exactly. I’m okay keeping them in the locker room for that reason.

Do you have the same energy toward the football team who are never present for the anthem?

You’re an idiot if you believe Mulkey was protesting

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but this is a silly comparison. Neither team is ever on the field for the Anthem at Tiger Stadium. They enter the field of play well after….both teams.

They didn’t get escorted out of the locker room in time.

I'm really glad that we hate our own team as much as we hate everyone else's team. Amirite?

They haven’t been on the floor for any anthem in any game this year.

It’s honestly a win-win for everyone. Cut the dramatic bullshite.

I would rather them staying in the locker room than kneel or disrespect the flag in front of everyone.

Y’all do know that prior to 9-11 and DOD purchased patriotism at sporting events. Most teams would be in the locker room for the national anthem.

Saying the only thing National that you care about suggests you are spoiled and entitled. We are very lucky to be American. Regardless of whether our ancestors did some terrible things, America today is a much better place to be than almost anywhere else in the world, and we are lucky to enjoy the benefits of America. It has taken a huge amount of sacrifice to make America a good place to live, and it will continue to require work, but if we don't appreciate what we have, we can lose it. If you think it is too much to respect the national anthem because of what was done by our ancestors or if you believe there are better countries that have better ancestors, then you should really consider moving to a country that you do respect.

When it comes to sports. Read my post.

I love our country, served three years in the Army, but I don’t need my favorite team to participate in anything but winning.
