The best thing about LSU's position is they are one of only a few teams where public opinion means absolutely nothing as long as they win. It doesn't matter if LSU wins every game after this 12-10. They will have won the SEC and will play in the BCSNG no matter what. So just win and it doesn't matter what any talking heads think. Lose, and well then you're putting yourself in the hands of idiots. Don't put yourself in the hands of idiots.

Watching the ESPN channels today I heard them talk about NFL teams saying nothing wrong with ugly wins because its a win, especially to confrence rivals on the road. Saw them pump up FSU for holding the most explosive offense in college (clemson) to under 40 points.

The dismissed LSU by saying Mett just isn't developing. You could tell they didn't have a lot bad to say, just didn't wanna talk about LSU

Nope, you saw that right. I saw the same thing and just shook my head. What got me was that they said Florida is like Bama. ESPN is the MSNBC of the sports world.

Wouldn't that the Fox "Fair & Balanced" of the Sports World?

What has LSU done to warrant the respect? Last seasons team is gone. LSU has played below average competition and the first decent game they had, they almost lost to a team that was 1-2.

Florida is a good team and is playing very good football right now. The argument will be settled in 2 weeks. Beat Florida in The Swamp and then see what ESPN says about LSU.

Michael Wilbon, today on PTI, flat out said (paraphrase) 'we now know LSU isn't any good, so who is going to challenge Bama'?

That one pissed me off. I know ESPN hates LSU but to say a largely intact Recent 13-0 team seems ridiculous.

Want to know how I know you're an uneducated FL homer?

Florida is a good team

This is true.

Decent football. A&M led almost the entire game, you struggled in your opener against Bowling Green.

You just beat up probably the worst team to be in the SEC in at least 10 years, Kentucky.

LSU has played below average competition

Hmmm, if memory serves, we played an SEC team, on the road, and won, just like UF.

So you consider Bowling Green and Kentucky to be serious competition?

No, no. LSU is garbage. Our defense is really not that great and we have an even worse offense that JJ/JL. Please ignore us. In fact don't even bother game planning or practicing.
