I believe it came down to her wanting to play point and KM telling her
that was extremely unlikely with a highly rated point guard coming in

This is the real head-scratcher. Clark is 6'0; Mikaylah is 6'0. HVL is 5'7. Clark should never have been her defensive assignment in the first place. How much of HVL's offense that assignment cost us we'll never know.

Who is the highly rated PG? I assume you are talking about Jada Richard the LA Gatorade Player of the Year. But the only national ranking I have seen of her, she is rated 97th...barely a top 100 player. What I hoped would occur is that Del Rosario's HS teammate Velez would have been able to help this season. She is a PG and was a top 50 HS player.

I believe she chose it. She said she planned on being here one year. I heard she wants to go to law school. Can't really do that here.

She has 45 days to transfer. I think she entered the portal to weigh her options. Im sure LSU is an option, but I don’t blame her for looking for whats best for her future. Hopefully CKM is working her ear daily.

HVL is an intelligent young woman. She may be able to play a few years oversea somewhere, but wouldn’t be surprised if she eventually ends up in coaching.

It will be very tough to play NCAA basketball and attend Law School at the same time. The storyline that she wants to go to law school and that’s part of the reason she is transferring doesn’t make sense to me. Law school is a full-time job.
