when we lost the first game - glenn had to pitch some where to win 4 in a row
we lost the series because - three of the guys that carried us - berg, ibarra & raph did nothing!!!
baseball baby - great year!!
pitching did not lose it!

Glenn was supposed to only go 3 innings and nearly get us ran out of the game? Bold strategy Paul

Did you expect him to pitch 9 innings and give up under 2 runs? because if he doesn't, we lose

To Glenn's credit, he heard all week that a ball couldn't get out.
I don't think it was a bad call to start him. He was going to have to start sometime.

The mistake was not throwing Glenn in the super.

The bigger question is why didn't Glenn get some throws in the the blowout Super Regional game. Maybe a little rust gets knocked off.

He had to start at some point. And throwing a lefty against UNC was a smart move Not his fault our offense blew in the CWS
This! Perfect answer. We weren't coming out that losers bracket without deep starts from Glen and Eades. CPM did the right thing. He coached this team well. At clutch time we just happened to go cold.
For CPM, everything fell in place in '09 and fell apart in '13. That's baseball. We'll get 'em next year.
