growing up in south Louisiana its very easy to be a tiger fan. Going to home games, talking about LSU with other fans. All you see is LSU memorabilia around town.

but moving away from Louisiana a few years ago has really made me grow as a fan. I think it's because I have to go out my way to keep up. I have to work a lot harder now than I had to in Louisiana when LSU was every where. Did anyone else grow as a fan when they moved away?

Absolutely! I moved to Alabama, so you can only imagine the constant crap I hear on a daily basis! It's definitely made me realize how special MOST LSU fans are and what a unique situation we have. FOREVER LSU!

When I moved to Dallas it was great seeing LSU fans every Saturday with their flags on their cars and everyone wearing the purple and gold. In big cities with so many fan bases it almost makes you appreciate your school more.

I was the same. Enjoyed watching the games with my Granddad on Saturdays but it wasn’t until after I joined the military and moved away that I really ratcheted up my following of the team and recruiting.

I believe the only way to like Baton Rouge is to not live there.

What part of “South LA” are you referring to? That’s such a broad term that gets thrown around so much. Because there is not LSU memorabilia all around Lafayette at all. I don’t see much around Houma either. Lake Charles is pretty good about it though.
