The Story is that he blew Orgeron away when we were visiting the Saints coaches.
This is what happened. That and Pete Carmichael gave him a great recommendation.

O found a diamond and the move is likely going to net him tens of millions of dollars.

Burrow should get more credit than any coach on the staff. He is making their job easier.

Sean Payton was really the only one that recognized his potential before Ed O got wind of him
Payton paid Brady 40K a year. Orgeron paid him 400K.

Money talks. bullshite walks.

O & E recognized Brady's value to a much higher degree than the Saints.

He's not going to be offered a head coaching gig.

I’m not saying that right now. But I wouldn’t fault him down the road for going to get a head man gig somewhere. Barring it’s not an SEC school obviously.

The bunch formations arent being run by most college spread teams. It requires precise route running. Something we benefit from with elite athletes. Our athletes have always been the best. Now they are getting to showcase it. Just gotta keep getting QBs to get them the ball in space

You think Ensminger takes a symobolic desk job next season with no resistance?

I thought the word was that he sort of reluctantly took over OC duties as a sort of temporary stop-gap measure? What’s his leverage here, anyway, if the want to promote Brady?

They are running the offense together and is working well. Promote Brady formally to Co-OC if SE wants to be around for a while. Also, we don't know if Brady alone is better than both of them working together.

If Brady wants the gig for himself, he'll get it.

No.

What happened is the head coach here had a much greater need. Sean Payton is an offensive savant, and has had the same OC for 10 years. Payton has his thumb on a lot of offensively talented coaches.

This. Burrow is special. I'm happy we have this offense and have modernized but we have a rare breed at quarterback right now.

You go from a 57% passer to an 80% passer in one year and you think he’s the one making it easier lmao. I love Burrow but come the frick on. How many times is he throwing to wide open WRs??? Quite frickin often

I get the impression O went to the Saints thinking he could get some idea of how to run the Saints offense with Burrow. He begins talking with Brady and the rest is history.

The Spread/RPO is the scheme Burrow has run since he was a little kid.

Brady has done an excellent++ job of installing it at LSU. But Burrow would have put up the same big numbers in Ryan Day's Spread/RPO at Ohio St. last season. Probably would have won the Natty, IMO.

Sure the hell sounds like the scheme is important to me
