Dick just tweet this out.....The @NCAA according to my sources are wrapping up all the details involved in completing the investigation of the 2 major programs . In a few weeks they will get a report spelling out the allegations . Soap opera will roll on .

He may end up being right this time, but he's turning into the little boy that cried wolf here.

So you're telling me he thinks we're a major program?? YES!!!

You have major, and you have mid-major

EVERY MAJOR CONFERENCE BASKETBALL PROGRAM "cheats".
Just because you SAY it, does not make it true!
Thanks for the dissertation. However, nothing you wrote proves that 100% (or let's say above 90%) of college BB programs are cheating. OK, let's also eliminate (for this discussion) all "minor" rules violations as many of those are oversights, dumb mistakes, etc. Let's just stick with major violations like paying players $100,000.00 to play at your school. Nothing you reference (except YOUR opinion) proves that 100% (your calculation) are cheating (major violations like paying players to play). Nothing!

in order to recruit the top talent there is money/benefits that have to be exchanged because that is simply how the "business" works.
This and most of what you wrote is nothing more than an attempt to justify (with no proof) cheating. Yes, it seems that the AAU and shoe companies are engaged in some nefarious activities with some athletes. However, those athletes are flirting with violation of NCAA rules related to agents, amateur athlete status, etc. Any college coach who gets mixed up in that crap is dishonest and deserves to be banned from NCAA coaching. Of course, there is some dirty stuff going on and probably always will. But we owe it to our student-athletes and the integrity of our university to demand better. If someone gets better players by cheating and wins, that victory means nothing. If we lose to someone who cheats, I'm proud of our team/coaches/etc. You guys seem content/happy to wallow in the gutter with the other snakes. So much so you feel the need to defend "cheating" by overstating that "everyone does it." Hogwash, I want our coaches to play a clean game so our victories mean something (instead of nothing). And......if a coach really wanted to "play by the book" and help the NCAA root out other schools that cheat, they would do it. I believe it is a small group (but growing because of fans like you) of schools that are doing the big time cheating. WW busted down the door and invited himself into this "select" club (there was a reference to this in the HBO special). If true, WW has made a choice to wallow in the gutter instead of helping the NCAA fix the problem as well as demonstrate to our student-athletes what good character looks like.
BTW....your first link does not work.

No, I won't do that. Just another attempt to justify poor behavior by saying "everyone does it." It's getting old.

I was joking since Dick seems to be trying to get the best of LSU fans and hasn't been able to as of yet (though I'm not sure that he was trying to differentiate the conference level since I almost never hear people refer to teams who aren't mid-majors as majors...usually they say Power 5 team or just name the school). All of his faves seem to be having their own NCAA issues which will make LSU's issues seem less like a big deal if the NCAA comes calling soon.

So, you ask for proof and when it comes straight from a prominent coach your response is to deny it.

Quit trying to assign intent/meanings to what I have said that are clearly not what I have said. "Bad actors" have been around as long as the game has been around. The point is there is no proof that 100% of NCAA BB programs are cheating. None. You guys are overstating this (or just dishonest) all to "normalize" WW's alleged bad actions. That kinda works with "speeding" but not so much with paying players $100,000.00, buying houses, etc. to play at your school.

You're right. Trent Johnson didn't cheat.
You saw what that got LSU as far as players go.
You are also right that 100% of programs DO NOT cheat.
But everyone in the Top 100 does.

I mean, what do you think Will Wade is talking about on those calls? What do you think the people suing Zion Williamson are referring to?
And this statement proves that EVERYONE (100%) is cheating? Really?

That's the thing. If Will Wade is part of this "select few" that are paying these players, why hasn't he been able to recruit more big time players? Why isn't he the one getting 3 top 10 recruits? Has he even had 1 top 10 recruit yet in his entire time here? I don't know how high Reid was on the rankings coming in.

Really....A "prominent coach?"
From Wikipedia.......
"Tarkanian spent most of his career as a Division I coach in a battle with the NCAA."
"Throughout his career, he battled accusations of rules violations from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), with each of his three universities suffering penalties."
"The NCAA ordered UNLV to suspend him in 1977..."
" The Supreme Court ruled against him in 1988..."
"Perry's involvement triggered yet another NCAA investigation, which resulted in the NCAA initially banning the Rebels from the 1991 NCAA Tournament..."
"Following his retirement, Fresno State was placed on probation by the NCAA for violations committed by its men's basketball team under Tarkanian's watch."
"Just months before the 1976–1977 season, the NCAA placed UNLV on two years' probation for "questionable practices.""
