I don’t know about that. But if you change “program” to “fan base” I’d say you are correct.
He always takes the odds and acts like a genius if he is right, belittling people that disagree with him along the way but he is wrong he just talks about the reasons he was wrong, rather than owning up. For instance, he picked us to lose 5 games, and just praises the team, rather than acknowledging he is pessimistic and went with the Vegas odds.
He isn’t a terrible host of a radio show but his personality is a bit abrasive which makes him hard to like.

I remember how great is was when Bradie James announced he was coming back:

After the Tigers won the Southeastern Conference title and the Sugar Bowl last year, Faulk made the decision to bypass his senior year at LSU and declare for the NFL draft. James, too, considered leaving for the NFL, but he made the decision to return to both improve his stature in the draft and also gain his degree. James has a 3.0 grade-point average and is on schedule to graduate this May with a degree in criminology. "A lot of times when you're in a position like that, you have to make a selfish decision," James said. "I didn't want to have any regrets. I wanted to prepare myself the best I could. I was looking long-term. I felt if I came back, I'd be in a better position than if I left early." James leads the Tigers and their fifth-ranked defense in the nation with 147 tackles, including eight games with 11 or more stops. If he makes four more against Texas in the Cotton Bowl, he will become LSU's all-time, single-season leader in tackles.

Dude, Tim Tebow announced it on a stage in their stadium that he was staying for another year.
But it wasn't a solo press conference.

He hates on LSU fans period. Talks down to them, often when they've even proven him wrong. He's an arse plain and simple.

I think he is gone, his name is off the LSU Student Directory. It was there as of 2 weeks ago...

Slinger is stepping down today and Briles is being hired?

Sort of. Tebow called for a prayer circle and surprised everyone by saying that he was staying.

Good detective work

I would hope there are no theatrics if he indeed leaving. That would be a bit disrespectful in my opinion. Getting the fanbase all excited and then crushing them seems very immature. If you want to be a professional, then act like a professional.

He'd be a fool to stay.
