It seems every year some on these boards want to move a stellar offensive player to LB.

too much RB competition and hardly any competition at LB

He'll never get a lot of carries until Guice, Williams, and Brossette are gone and even then we'll have new guys that will be just as good, so since we need LB depth and not RB depth, why not stick him on defense?

And as far as his personal career is concerned, it might be in his best interest to make the switch.

have you not been watching RB's under Miles 11 years??? if he is as good as advertised he WILL get his carries. And if he shows great promise those carries will INCREASE.

BUT... I agree the need is greater right now at LB.

FAIL... topic is clearly related to LSU players.

Name ONE recent "dynamic" offensive player where there were rumblings about being moved to LB.

How is he going to get carries? I don't care how good he is he won't be getting snaps over Fournette and Guice. He is needed at the MLB spot and he has stated that he will play where ever he is needed. I look for Ducre to be moved as well to the MLB spot.

Look if White is as good as advertised he can always move back to RB. The Myles Jack is a pretty good comparison but the only difference is UCLA really needed him at RB as well, we don't.

LSU has always platooned running backs so to speak, and White will get some carries, not as many as Fournette or Guice, but I could seem him moving ahead of Williams and Brossette, once he shows the coaching staff the type of ability he has.

Williams is not an explosive back, by LSU standards he is nothing more than an average to slightly above average back, and Brossette is basically another version of Williams.

With the high quality backs we have coming through here, only the very best ones are going to play much, its just he way it is. Personally, I think White will be able to prove that he is at least the 3rd best RB on the team.

Darrell Williams has an NFL future. Its hard for a fresh who is over weight to come in and take his job.

I think Williams will make an NFL team as well, but I would be surprised to ever see him be a long time starter. He might have a pretty long career as a backup or situational type(goal line) back though.

Then again, its possible he could surprise everybody, I never thought Marshawn Lynch would turn into the back he did, but I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that was dead wrong on that.

Williams is at least as good as Ridley was. He just needs a shot, which is hard considering who is in front of him

it's actually not that complicated...

Jack, you see, plays for a team called the University of California at Los Angeles,

while Mr White plays for the team we love, called the Tigers, which this topic is clearly about.
