I don't doubt that guys will move on. But some of the names being thrown around make no sense. Ty Floyd, Brody Drost? That's laughable that you would push out some of the highest ceiling guys. All I'm saying is that there are a lot of idiots here throwing names out that have no business being in this conversation.

I don’t know why people want Sanford gone as well.

I concur. I can't wait to see what these pitchers look like with new guidance, and what guys like Drost and Sanford look like with Johnson's hitter focused approach.

The real test will be getting Milazzo to .250, but the article I read yesterday really gave me hope that it's possible.

He’s always going to swing and miss a good bit. But if he could walk more, increase his OBP to go along with his power, he could be a useful player. It doesn’t mean he will definitely do it but the potential is there.
I don’t think people understand how precarious our catcher situation is. We are really close to putting Crews back there.

ETA: I know he can’t catch most if not all of next year, but we can’t go kicking off players at positions where only 1 guy is serviceable.

that he had already watched film and told guys what to work on. That doesn't really sound like he's telling anybody to move on

He’s not going to say that at his press conference though. You can tell he was holding back on some things cause PM was in the crowd. He couldn’t just flat out say something kids were bad but he wanted to

In the outfield you may see some guys move on just because there won’t be enough ABs to go around, especially if Dugas comes back. It’s not necessarily due to lack of ability in spite of what some here are saying.

I just don't see JJ being too aggressive here unless a bunch of great players want to come to LSU.

With the Covid year everyone is granted, there’s even more deadweight. I think he’s going to talk to the guys this year who may not have a future at LSU so he doesn’t have to do it next year or the year after. There is no better time to do it. He can also aggressively attack the transfer portal for better players.

I could see sanford leaving, but im not hoping for it.
I see no reason guys like floyd or drost would be sent away.

There will be a number of position players leaving which won't be surprising.

Have you seen anything about how signees are going to be treated if they want out of their LOI this Summer? Baseball in this case, but it really applies to all sports. Guys that were already in programs are getting a free pass, but will the incoming players be held to the normal release standard or will they get the same leniency?

Didn't his mom say it happened during a practice? Or are you alluding to it being something more juicy?

If Johnson can really improve the lineup and hitting of existing guys, I think getting Milazzo to .200 or .220 will be fine

Don’t get me wrong, .250 would be fantastic but I’m trying to be more realistic. +.100 improvement might be a stretch in one offseason

He's as likely to be your 4th OF as Drost is.
