Holy shite it’s a lobbed pass in a simple drill

Yes I watched the video. Neither were the throws that the high school receivers got. They were just like 30-40 yard passes thrown at full arm strength. For Stingley, that’s easy. I guarantee you that almost any poster that says they could do it easily wouldn’t be able to do it like that in 5 tries. No bobble, nothing.

It was his acceleration that made it look easy.

I would love to see you go out and try to catch that in that manner from a college QB. Good luck.

BFD! Catches a floater in shorts with no defense....meh Some are so fricking easily impressed it's a joke!

Stingley showed up at LSU for Moffitization and Moffit looked at him and said "done!"

What does from a college qb have anything to do with it? It was a perfect spiral and lobbed with touch.

I thought the same thing until I watched videos and watched quality high school receivers drop almost every straight up pass using 2 hands from both college and NFL QBs. And that may look like a slow lob on video but I promise that ball is going faster than it looks.

That might be the easiest one-handed catch in the history of the universe.
You would have dropped 7/10 with your small white hands.

We’re not talking about a hard NFL pass. That ball is a soft floater. You could catch it no problem. I’m not taking anything away from Stingley just saying that’s an easy grab.

I'm almost 40 and noticably overweight. That was such a soft lob my out of shape arse is catching it at least 60% of the time

Yes easily. I'm not sure why anyone thinks that is difficult with such a soft pass.
Posted on 8/5/19 at 8:13 pm to Powerman
Not a difficult achievement... but he made it look a lot easier than anyone on this board could. Most on this board don’t reach that ball
Posted on 8/5/19 at 8:15 pm to AZTiger7072
I'm talking about just the catch itself. Yes he definitely made it look a lot easier than I could. And I'd probably only be able to do it consistently with my dominant hand. He can probably snag it with either hand with ease

I’m excited about Stingley as well but come on man.... any of us could make that catch.
I couldn’t. I’m uncoordinated af

I’m 57 this summer and I make that catch 10 out of 10 times. Stingley is a great athlete. That catch is NOT an example of his greatness.

He might literally end up being the best player on the team this year. And that’s not an exaggeration.
That is the very definition of exaggeration. Better than Burrow? Delpit?
