Strangest thing about this Harris/Chestnut stuff, to me, is how nobody outside of the program seems to know anything about wtf is actually going on.

I mean I get what you’re saying but I would like them to pull players from the transfer portal that are available to play when they are healthy.

Genuine question, what is BK doing that’s different from previous coaches when it comes to unavailable players?

Not recruit problem players after booting off Dwight McGlothern for not "buying in"

Anyone with two brain cells knew Harris would be a problem. No one even knew who Duce Chestnut was, but if they didn't do their research on him before signing, that's on the coaches.

Well for one I’d like to know why Harris and Chestnut are here taking up scholarships.

Serious question: Does LSU still suspend players for weed?

I don't think Chestnut is necessarily a "problem", LSU just wasn't for him and he doesn't want to lose a year of eligibility here.

Harris was always a flyer, Kelly told everyone this when they took him.

It isn't like there were tons of great corners in the portal there for the picking.

One big negative to the portal is you're bringing in a bunch of older players who you really know very little about.

Harris got kicked off 8&4 for smoking weed in the locker room! Let's be real here, did anyone actually expect this situation to turn out any other way?

We don’t need “great.” If we had average we would be in pretty good shape. And don’t even get me started on Dwight. I ask again—why did we burn scholarships on these two?

If he’s not good enough to play at LSU, then that’s on the coaching staff for missing on his evaluation.

We all knew this, which was why many people questioned it. We trusted Kelly though because he said they did a had a deep vetting process that gave them confidence he wouldn’t have any more problems.

So that’s bad evaluation of talent and a misjudgment of character. Two major reasons that people blame the previous coaching staff for our roster being in this situation. BK doesn’t get a pass for doing the same thing.

Welp congrats to Bama. Kelly needs to figure out that beating them is the most important thing

They WERE available to play this season when we pulled them from the portal. As far as I am aware, Duce wasn't known to have disciplinary issues. Heck we do t even know if that's what the issue is right now. I suppose it could be a personal/non-football issue. Harris, was given a chance due to his tale t, a d only AFTER having a meeting with BK about expectations. If Harris can't comply, it's in him.

As for right now, there's not much thry can do. You can't pull players our of the portal right now.

Who should be “held to task” for maybe the worst defense in the history of the program? Just wondering.

Yeah reading between the lines it seems like Chestnut not playing is coming from his end rather than a discipline issue. I got the feeling he cracked under the pressure and couldn’t take the heat anymore. Corner is a brutal position and getting picked on by opponents takes its toll.
