Democrats will certainly preemptively tax unrealized gains.

Why do you think Dems/DSA will do anything different than they do in Europe? Youll love your tax bill when they tax you on the appreciation of your home or stocks or 401k when you havent even sold them. But keep voting for this.

What about unrealized losses?

The word veto comes from the Latin phrase meaning "I forbid."
It refers to the official power or right held by a person in authority (such as a president, governor, or board member) to unilaterally reject, block, or prohibit a decision, proposal, or legislative bill from going into effect.
As a noun: The actual power or the act of saying "no" (e.g., "The president exercised a veto over the bill").
As a verb: The action of rejecting something (e.g., "The governor decided to veto the budget proposal").

What do you think the answer to that is. They are here to kill, steal, and destroy… not to help you

There is zero chance this will happen. Congress will not clip their own nutz.

Say bye bye to SS, Medicare, etc. Also, say bye to Dems.
If cuts to retirement are political suicide, cuts (via taxation) to people's retirment accounts, 401ks, will also be political suicide

They'll need to stack SCOTUS first because the Apportionment Clause (Article I, Section 9, Clause 4) states that
An income tax is a direct tax, thus the 16th Amendment was needed to tax income. Unrealized gains are not income, thus it would be a direct tax and thus it is completely unconstitutional without either a new Amendment allowing it or a SCOTUS so heavily stacked and skewed that we might as well revolt if such a Court were to rule an unrealized gains tax constitutional.

No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration herein before directed to be taken.

Theyve got the stacking of the supreme court covered if they get in. Very open about it.
“We might as well revolt” … the country has a ton of soyboys and might as well be soyboys..they’ll revolt just like Brits and Francs have… with an Ai hologram while letting the country fall into the hands of globalists.
Better buy more guns and bury a few

Those are not federal taxes. State and local governments have the constitutional right to levy taxes.

yeah they don't tax unrealized gains in europe either. what made you think they did?

Well, the state and local already raises my property taxes every few years. I’d love all taxes to go consumption only, but that ain’t ever going to happen. We are 40 trillion in the hole. It would be nice if someone would teach congress how to budget.

quote:This is my position. These people dont actually believe anything they say, they say what needs to be said to mobilize a block of voters to gain power. Period. This is both sides, they are just two sides to the same coin. As long as Americans dedicate themselves to carrying the water for one side or the other, their plan will reap huge personal reward.
There is zero chance this will happen. Congress will not clip their own nutz.

Same thing. A property tax would be considered a direct tax because it's not apportioned.

Denmark and Netherlands are trying but youre right they had a large backlash and changed course.. for now. England and France and US are pursuing punitive taxes for higher net worth individuals regardless of the sale of any assets

Boomers have all the unrealized gains and they voted to let women vote and bring in foreigners
