I enjoy Byrd's attitude.
And to be fair, he was very respectful of Appalachian State's abilities.

+1. If anything he was respectful of Appy State. The only slight trash talking I read was towards Michigan. Saying, "we're not Michigan".

He has the attitude I want my favorite team to have. He expects to be great and doesn't need the underdog role to get him going. I think LSU football should be past the respect and underdog angle. They know they are better than the other team and still dominate them. That is what I like!

....i agree 100% there's no reason lsu can't go out and play teams knowing they are better and proving it on the field every game

Towelie...why post something so mean and disgusting...don't know how to post in decent language? Oh, haven't reached puberty yet, so you think such statements are "cute"...geez, can't you post a rational, intelligent comment or if that's not possible, at least one,you wouldn't mind your mother, sister, or girlfriend reading.
Byrd's fired up and that's a great thing for the Tigers...we're going to love this team...we win by at least 2 TDs...probably more, Armanti said he's looking forward to playing off the mountain and its thin air...guess, he's never tried to breathe the thick air of South La. Those guys will be sucking wind by the end of the 1st quarter. Go Tigers!

Then I truely know that APP has a LOOOONG way to go if we get blown out by 25...30-40pts.
This is our TEST game and Les miles wants to prove that we belong in 1AA.
If they beat APP that bad, I'll give ALL the credit to LSU BUT.... anything from 1-14 difference in the score, and ALL the advantages LSU has, APP has played a great game.
LSU should be able to win by 24 + points and some think by 40+.
We will see.

Good for him and I think it reflects the entire team's feelings.....I like honesty and confidence.
The media has made this undoubtly the most overhyped game between a D1 And D-1AA in the history of the universe. The end result is everyone is now tired of hearing about APP and our Michigan victory...plus all of the new fans who have burned up the blog sites about our invincibility....and most probably don't know which end of the football is pointed....
