Definitive proof this “3 second” spike excuse is bull.

Down with 6 seconds left.
Already getting up with 5 seconds.
The clock keeper let 3 seconds run off the clock. The refs missed it and didn’t correct the clock so they screwed the Aggies here.
All this whining about this ONE call is making us look stupid.
Whine about the fumble all day, that’s legit imo

I'm over all these excuses. It makes us look really bad. Make a dang stop on 4th and 18. Call one pass play inside the 5 when a TD wins it. Don't muff punts. This game was there for us numerous times.

You are wrong. The clock stopped at 5 then restarted after the chains were set.
By the way, what’s your fricking problem? You off your meds?

And the illegal formation trumps your little gotcha....

How many posts and threads are you going to make about this crap? You are just as bad as those bitching about the refs.

I can only conclude that aTm is paying him almost as much as they paid the refs.

horseshite. That has nothing to do with the final play.

Click stopped at 3. Watched it last night. Tamu had already done one clicking in 2 seconds on 2nd down the series before.
Mond was down before the int. But with no call on the field perhaps that should not have come back. The clocking was done correctly.
The fumble on the catch was pure bullshite.
But we had soooo many chances to win.
The loss is on us and especially play calling on 3rd and 4 in regulation, on the 4th OT when they had already settled for a FG and on no pressure on Mond in the O T’s

The clock doesn't stop until ref stops it to move chains.
This happens all game long.

No he’s just proving a point. We lost the game period and that’s it. Winners find a way to win and losers make excuses.

Gotta love misleading screenshots too...
Go to 52:30 of this video ( 52:30 ). Referee doesn't start waving the play dead until there are 4 or 3 seconds remaining. Clock starts once chains are set. It's completely logical to expect 2 seconds to run off prior to the snap to spike the ball...
Stop posting crap that is out of context. The clock never stops the exact moment a players elbow hits the ground, but yet you continually try to manipulate the scenes on specifically timed screenshots.

all that matters is how much time was on clock when A&M snapped the ball to spike it...if the clock read 2 seconds or less, then the spike should not have been allowed per NCAA rules.
quote:
To establish three seconds as the minimum amount of time required to be on the game clock in order to spike the ball to stop the clock. If one or two seconds remain on the clock, there is only time for the offense to run one more play.

His knee hit in bounds.

the clock does not officially stopped until an official signals for it to stop.. not the results of the play... the clock operators look at the covering official - not the play itself..

clock stops on ref signal. How was he getting up at 5 seconds with both feet still off the ground.

Exactly. When the clock started again, the clock was at 1 second when the ball was snapped. the ball strikes the ground at a millisecond before Zero. You can't then place a full second on the clock. Otherwise, the NCAA must start using a clock that shows to the tenths or hundreds.

And while I do agree with you for the most part, the thing that gets me is that we DID do everything to win that game. You force a fumble and recover it only to have the officials take it away. You get the INT at the end of regulation only to have it taken away by a questionable call of Mond being down. Yes, we had chances, but I felt we did take advantage of some only to have the refs step in.
