Philosophy - 80%
Personnel - 20%

The coaches should've realized that this scheme isn't going to work...that's why they're there, to see things us fans can not and fix things/make adjustments AHEAD of time...

if the talent is there and the results aren't, its the coaching staff's fault

Another reason i don't like the bend-but-don't-break defense, is b/c it allows too much time for our defense to be on the field, and it doesn't help win the field position battle.

We should shoot for 3 and out every time, not playin between the 30s.

i agree 100%. Our D-line hardly puts pressure unless its obvious pass situation like the end of the auburn game. Its not the players...they are playing their responsibility. Normally our pressure comes from blitzes which we did none of last night

personnel...

its not really a lack of talent

more a lack of effort, determination, and focus.

We have too many great players to play this way. We have so much pontential for big plays especially from our lineman but we're to worried about preventing the big plays

Considering they had two weeks to prepare, I would have to say coaches mostly to blame. The defensive players at times still looked confused on the play calling. This was supposed to be fixed Miles said.

Why didn't Miles go after Muschamp?

This is a legit gripe.

We need to focus on what our guys can do and not what the other team does on offense.

Chad Jones needs to see a large percentage of run blitzs in short yards runs.

Coleman and Taylor are beast hitters. We need to allow them to rome and make plays.

I think Patrick Peterson is ready and I think Eugene has been playing pretty good too.

Beckwith gets a pass because he was playing timid with injury.

the 2 weeks to prepare is probably what disturbs me the most about the shite we laid on the field yesterday. the fact that we had a bye week to adjust and prepare and we clearly did not. effort is next on the list as the effort was piss poor. we had plenty of effort to hot dog and show boat after we allowed first downs but we got the big hit.

No way he gets a pass!! He is "supposed" to be our leader so if hes on the field the other guys are gonna look to him. If he wasnt ready he wouldnt have been out there

A lot of the technique problems can be worked on. My concern was the heart of the players on our offensive and defensive lines. The offensive line has three potential NFL draftees, they were totaly pushed around. Same for the D line. I saw several players actually stop rushing the passer on plays, just completely stop. Georgia fell behind to Alabama by 30 points at halftime, somewhere at halftime pride and heart kicked in. None of that was evident in the the loss to Florida. Yes, some of the blame belongs to the coaches for not adjusting to Florid's game plan. But be realistic if you were watching the same game, call it a lack of heart, intensity, or even pride, one of the team captains or seniors should have stepped up and said we are not going to just roll over and take this beating. Better techniques can be adjusted and practice. Heart and pride can't and that worries me more than any techniques.

Best post I have seen on this topic so far. I completely agree. Problem was we did this last year, but it wasn't as noticeable because we blitzed more and brought different blitz schemes when we did bring the heat. It appears that they are taught to contain and not go after the QB. Just watch them on most of the plays. They come out of their stance and then "hand fight" with the linemen. What the hell is that?

ETA: I would rather get beaten while blitzing like madmen than sit back and get shredded like we have in our last 3 losses.
