Last year through the first 7 games, LSU had 13 errors.

This year only 2 through the first 7 games.

Think both errors were late game subs too? I know one was from Guidry in the 9th

One was on a pitcher with a bad through to first on a bunt toward 3rd base I think

Saturdays game was poorly played. Those games are the ones I tend to look at. Playing with the pressure of a close game & being down.

Thompson has been great tho and that was a big concern. Neal looks like an every day player. Crews & Morgan solid. Everything else still kind of tbd

There would have been more than 13. The same rule applied last year to Berry in the Tech game. There were 5 errors by LSU in the game but that same “no touch” rule would have made it 7 in that game.

He won’t make many errors, but he also won’t get to many balls hit towards the holes

He’s robbed at least two hits in the first seven games

I didn’t get to see much of the game Friday but he has made the routine plays like Jay has promised in every other game I watched (all of em)

The big improvement for JT is he's healthy.

Have you been watching? Hes been getting to just about everything. 2 or 3 that I thought he had ZERO chance of getting to.

Im not gonna argue he has elite range, but he is a decent 2nd basemen. Not throwing the ball all over the yard

-If he hits, he plays

-This staff is going to K a lot more guys than last year too, so there will be less opportunities.

Im also not sure he fits well as a leadoff. Id like him in the 5-7 range of the lineup.
Would prefer the top 3 include morgan, crews, and white. But white has to calm the frick down at the plate

He's at shortstop, I hear those get lots of opportunities in a typical week of baseball.
