Were those scheduled before or after Indiana became a football powerhouse

That’s the way a schedule should look to be honest.

If they do well in conference it sets them up.

I’ve long argued that the playoff committee only cares about wins so schedule nobody, and everyone gets so mad on here when I say it

But looking at their schedule compared to LSU’s just cracked me up

Of course. If Texas had played Southeastern instead of Ohio State last year they would’ve been in the playoff. Committee punished them and basically those tough out of conference matchups to start the season will be a thing of the past asap.

Said at the end of last season it looked like they were a shoo in to make a playoff again this year looking at their schedule

3-0 OOC gimme then just need to win 7/9 in conference. Pretty much just need to salvage 1 win from Michigan/OSU and they’re good

Northwestern
@Rutgers
@nebraska
OSU
@Michigan
Minnesota
USC
@Washington
Purdue

Moscona argues constantly that the expansion of the playoff will make teams more willing to play hard games.

Which is of course nonsense

They will play even less. There will be a mad dash to play as many shite teams as possible

Who cares? You have to make it though an entire playoff, what happens in week 1 or 2 doesn’t really matter to me. I mean hell, half of this fan base wants LSU to quit scheduling big time home openers.

I think the dumbest thing is to schedule tough games in the first few weeks. I say schedule two cupcake games and then a tough one for the third. Pretty sure Saban always had an easy first few games. Just smart.

Saban opened at Virginia Tech in 2002. That was probably scheduled before his arrival.

Well when I listened, he said that Supper Club is the best place in town, that him and Erica love it. Then he talked about roof replacement. Commercial break for five minutes. I took a call, then I heard him talking about LMFJ fine jewlers. Not sure if you had him confused with another radio guy, but his 3-6pm show is the one that talks about Baton Rouge products and services. River City 1hr Air, Gordon if you get in a wreck, he can recommend it all.

And last year they started with

Old Dominion
Kennesaw St
Indiana State

Then beat

Oregon (Twice)
Ohio State
Alabama
Miami

So what is your point?

How has playing a big opponent in the beginning of the last 6 years helped us?

Play shite OOC teams, then play well in the conference and make the playoffs. I don’t care about the big match ups, just make the playoffs.
