i hope that this is not the 3rd season in a row that we don't have qb that is capable of winning against the better sec teams.

lee is the king of the practice squad like Murphy is king of the spring game.

I've heard this song already.

Hopefully lee has turned the corner and is playing well. Lsu may need him this season to step up if Jefferson gets speared again.

I was talking more along the lines of the title of this thread. I didn't get much further than the first few posts because people are still talking about what Miles tells the media.

I wish JJ would learn to take control of the game, but so far he is not even close. Hope we can win next yr. without a qb

Its the same old stuff with Jefferson. Happy feet, doesn't know how to step up and take a hit and deliver the ball with pressure in his face.

Tentative and indecisive and worst of all horribly innacurate. I wouldn't mind seeing Lee get a chance if all things are equal. I've seen enough of jefferson.

The big moments overtake Jefferson. Lee has actually done quite well in leading big drives when the chips are down. He did it last year against Bama, the year before against Bama, did against Aub, etc...

i think your right...at least thats the way Im seeing it...It also seems to me that JJ looks the same now as he did all of last year...

I remember reading an article about JL in which his father indicated that he has overcome the pyschological issues. Maybe he has and maybe he has turned the corner. Like him or not, LSU is going to need this kid to play some meaningful minutes at QB the next two seasons.

Is JL the guy? His previous auditions indicate that he is not. But I don't get the feeling that JJ is or will be. To me, the defining moment for JJ is when he left the most important game of the season against Alabama with an ankle injury. He stood on the sideline the rest of the game without crutches, yet he didn't try to reenter the game for a single play and to fight through it. That threw up a huge red flag about his leadership qualities to me.

As the cameras showed him standing on the sideline, I kept thinking back to Rohan Davey leading us to an overtime upset against Tennessee playing on two bad ankles.

It was unfortunate that the coaches didnt see the same need for JLee to get "meaningful minutes" last year.

Don't blame Les b/c you don't have a firm grasp on the English language.

yes sir...but pro-JJ guys will tell you all kinds of stories about how he asked to coaches to go back in...I dont think miles is that stupid to not let him back in if he wants too...I however think miles is smart enough to look dead in his eyes and know that he didnt want any part of that game...

I think I can recall one of the comentators, i think danielson, talking about how it didnt look too bad of an injury and wondered why he wasnt back in the game...

It's another one of these stupid threads where people find a quote from Les and then make fun of it. It is what the "cool kids" do.

JJ is the starter clearly but they are still hoping to see more improvement out of him.

THey expected CG to pass Lee on the depth chart but that didnt happen because Lee has been playing not bad enough to lose his back up position.

Miles just wants to be intellectually stimulating to our fan base to make it more interesting. Its so obvious he does it on purpose just to toy with people.
