Shep is a very talented guy and with the changes for next season will be able to add a lot more than in previous seasons.

Shep: haters are always gonna hate, whether at the college or NFL level.

Agree. Shepard is an immense physical talent. He can thrive next season and improve his draft stock.

Shep, do what you gotta do brother. Les has wasted your talents and if you have no faith in him then do what you gotta do.

I'll always support you as a great Tiger, but do what is best for you and your family. Not a bunch of selfish LSU fans.

THIS x 10000.

I know there's a slim shot in hell you'll read this but I figure it's worth every second if you stay with us for one more year.

I remember the first year I moved from college to Houston, all the buzz was about some Mike Vick type QB that played at Cy-Ridge that was crazy about LSU.

So, I made the trip on Friday afternoon after a Happy Hour. Feeling pretty buzzed anything could have easily impressed me, but the way you absolutely dominated kids your own age making everyone on the field look like the were running in slow motion and always multiple steps behind, you blew my mind that night. I can't remember your numbers, they were staggering, but I left there thinking..."Wow, we got ourselves a stud for years to come. I can't wait to have this guy in P&G". That's all I talked about that fall at work and with friends..."Just wait til we unleash
Russell Shepard next year"

Then the way you went out and repp'ed LSU at the All-American games and in the press you had I was so proud to be a Tiger fan and of the class act of a young man we would have as a leader for years to come. From Day 1 on campus you were my favorite player on the team and I've never lost hope in you.

As a fanbase we are sorry that the QB situation didn't work out. Seems now as if anything you could have given us would have been a boost from what we've had the last 2 years. Hell look at RG3. But to your credit, you were man enough to switch whole-heartedly to WR, a position unknown to you being surrounded by 4-5 star talent who had played WR their entire football career.

I expected great things regardless of what position you are put on the field and still do. One more year Shep. Please.

....this, this really is The Year.

2013. LSU's: Vengeance!

Dude, you support Rice. You have nothing to be proud of except your record-breaking tuition. So STFU.

Come back to the best place in the world to play football Shep!

Selfishly, sure I'd love to have him come back. There is no doubt LSU is much better with him. But if he thinks he can get drafted high enough to warrant leaving, he should do what is in his best interest.

That said, I am not a draft expert, so I have no clue where he'd go. If he's looking at round 4+, why not stick around for what is bound to be a much more open offense next year?

From everything I've ever heard about him, he's a good human being and I've witnessed how talnted he is. It would be awesome to see him taking the field for LSU next year. Otta be playing in the 'ship if he stays.

PS I went to Cy-Creek, down the road from where he went ...CS, rite?

There's too much to lose by going. Shep has more insider info than we do, but Tiger Nation isn't ready to see him go. If I were him, and I'm not, but if I were, I'd stay, and join the track team as well. Use Moffitt to get stronger, and the track to make me faster, and no matter what I did next year, I'd blow the fricking doors off the combine and go as a decent reciever with better measurables than I currently have. Eat pride and shite out a faster 40 time a year from now.
