Dude, during preseason we had 50/1 odds to win the championship (20th best odds)

When I got the odds and put $50 on them (don't tell me how I wasted my money...it is quite apparent) we had 30/1...so there was a legit thought we could.

Johnny brought Simmons here. He sold him on LSU and used LSU notable alumni to reel him in. He also hired Patrick. No Johnny no Ben Simmons. Your point is?

Tyrus, Garrett and Marcus Thornton were both three stars.

Johnny Jones didn't bring any of these players in. I ask you again, what makes you think Johnny is a great recruiter when we have glaring holes in our roster 4 years in?

I agree but It's as If OP is trying to prove how good our recruits are by posting the link. Absolutely no way to know how good they will be with only a 24-7 recruiting page to back it up. That's like saying "this movie's going to be great because it has Pauly Shore in it."

Simmons would have considered any power 5 school that Patrick was at. Do you really think he comes here without Patrick on the bench?

Yea we're LSU and have work to do it would be nice if we could get Simmons Magee Blakeny Newman Sampson and Victor all in the same recruiting class. I'll take 4 out of 6.

Ok man Johnny did absolutely nothing to get Ben Simmons. Patrick hired himself. Ben and his dad trusted Patrick enough to let their 100 million dollar son play for any head coach without talking to him and feeling comfortable that he was in good hands. You win man.

Again, while Malone, Bridgewater, and Elbert are not starters, they all could contribute if developed and used meaningfully. Gray contributed meaningfully last year only to be inexplicably left out of the rotation this year. It was no surprise his play was inconsistent. If your argument is that these guys are undevelopable, then JJ should not have given them scholarships.

Also, I notice that you did not mention Epps. You may very well be Johnny Jones because he seemed to forget about Epps too.

I see where you're coming from with the post. I agree only time will tell how good this class is. I am banking on that it is a good class for the pure fact that he signed everyone so early.

I didn't bring up Epps and Robinson because I think they will be assets and contribute next year. They are program players and I think we will start to get some return on our investment next year.

I prefer less crowds and better parking options.
