Ok because calling a specific segment of the LSU basketball fan base bandwagoners (which they are) is the same as calling someone a moron. A special type of guy you are!

Jordy Hultberg, Don Redden, and Ricky Blanton are my all time favorite players.

Ive been going to LSU basketball since you were shiting in your diaper and wiping it in your hair more than likely. Please don't lecture me on bandwagon fans and insinuate they had anything to do with the demise of this underachieving team or poor excuse for a coach. You're deflecting and its pathetic.

It is that he is a great recruiter that is building a program that lost two players who were early entrants to the NBA. Only other school that can say that is Kentucky and It takes time to build the type of depth that can handle that type of turnover. I am confident that he is getting there. Vanderbilt has two players projected to go in the first round next year. If they leave do you think Vandy will be back in the tournament next year?

I respectfully disagree with you that any of those players would log minutes but my point was that you need depth. That's a big reason behind the lack of effort because our starters have to play so many minutes, watch out for foul trouble and conserve energy. LSU beat Kentucky this year and in regards to Oklahoma, they had a big time player who made big time shots. Ben Simmons should have stepped up to the occasion and accepted the challenge.

Dude, during preseason we had 50/1 odds to win the championship (20th best odds). I'm not sure how you can be upset with fans' reactions to the outcome of this season. Especially after the effort in the last game and then withdrawing from post-season play

Idk, does Vanderbilt have a top 5 recruiting class coming in?

You just started a thread about LSU needing better PG play. Why hasn't Johnny recruited better PGs? We haven't seen huge turnover at that position. I'm tired of hearing about how Johnny is such a great recruiter when we have such glaring holes on the roster. He brought in ONE great class due, almost entirely, to a family connection sitting on his bench. Without David Patrick, Simmons, Blakeney and possibly Sampson never put on an LSU uniform.

So, we have a coach who is lost during the game, can't develop talent worth a shite (as evidenced by all these "project" recruits you are talking about that haven't panned out) and is not an elite recruiter.

What are his strengths? Why is he here again?

Do we only recruit from 2 high schools for 2016?

The answer is Vandy will struggle if they go pro. They will not finish in the top 4 in the SEC next year guaranteesd It's great that Johnny was able to piece a competitive roster together after your whole front court leaves early for the NBA. One of those front court players that was brought in misses a significant piece of your non conference schedule. If he would have been eligible from jump we would be in the tournament right now. They have one of the best point guards coming in next year in recent LSU memory in Skylar Mays. They recruited Dominic Magee and were close to getting Malik Newman. You win some battles you lose some battles. They will have depth next year with Mays and a healthy experienced Patterson backing him up.

90 percent of those people do not know who the other two even are.

And this is a troll. Trolls are becoming the regular Jonathan Swifts on here instead of the usual Carrot Tops and Gallaghers.

Just being "competitive" was not the expectations from anyone who follows college basketball.

There are a lot of different ways the season could have gone. Bottom line is we underachieved and the season ended in a very disappointing fashion.

Unfortunately we have let a lot of local talent go elsewhere

Will Vandy bring in a top 5 recruiting class next year? I doubt it.

Don't act like we lost our entire front court from last year. Martin largely played wing and was ineffective defending the post. We lost Mickey. Mickey certainly makes this team better, but Mickey is the ONLY legit 5 (and that's even a stretch since the 5 is really not his natural position) that elite recruiter Jones has brought in his tenure.

As soon as LSU struggles next year (and they will) we are going to hear that we are young or that Johnny hasn't had time to build solid front court depth. Same ole shite.

I love how you link the "nice recruits" as if to say, "Look, see?"

I see a few 3-star guys in a recruiting class that ranks (I think) somewhere around 50. This thread gets dumber by the second.

Yea in hindsight we should have looked at those players but you recruit and extend offers to the best talent. We were close on both Magee and Newman.

You act as if they would have even given LSU a second look had Simmons not been coming here. Do you really think Newman considers LSU without Simmons and Blakeney committed?

Umm excuse me but rankings do not always incidicate the impact a player will have. Keith Hornsby was unranked and should have been at least a three star and Tyrus, Garrett and Marcus Thornton were both three stars. We offered these guys pretty early in the game so obviously Johnny and the staff saw something undeniable about their skill sets.
