Eat shite. I went to LSU when it was a basketball school. This year was a repeat of the downfall of the Dale Brown Era. They both attract a certain kind of player--immature superstars who don't want to be micromanaged and expect the coach to stay the hell out the way while they run the show. They don't want to be part of a "system." They want the spotlight all to themselves.
And THAT'S why Jones is a bad coach. And that's why Dale never got back to the Final Four after 1986.

Think man. LSU is not a basketball school and the program was in terrible shape when Johnny took over. Because of that we have had to make offers to players who were projects to make sure that we had a full roster. It's a miracle and a testament to Johnny that he brought in Ben Simmons to play with Bridgewater and Darcy in the first place.

How much of that was because the pipeline to the best talent in the area was inexplicably shut down?

I don't get it he did recruit Ben Simmons to play at LSU.

Hello Mrs. Jones!! Please tell your husband to resign immediately for the betterment of the program. Thanks

Call me bandwagon basketball fan if you must, but the ineptness of our Athletic department to put together a consistently entertaining basketball program doesn't fall on the fans. If you want to spend your money on it that's fine, but don't sit there and act like because other people are bailing it is of no fault of their own.

We may not have made the big dance but at least we are not Aggies.

Let me ask you this would Darcy Malone, Bridgewater josh gray or Elbert log minutes for any other SEC school that you watched play this year?

So did everyone else. Everyone else didn't have Ben's Godfather on staff, though.

A big part but I think that was because of Trent Johnson more than anyone. I think that was the main reason Johnny offered Brigewater. Getting players like Mays, Sims, and Sampson on the roster is definitely a step in the right direction. Most important though is that all of those players including Brigewater are good kids and great representatives of the university.

Tell you what, what does Patrick bring to the coaching table besides his Ben? Bet you don't know.

Now that's funny. Bridgewater would barely log minutes at Southern. I have not seen a slew footed post player in the SEC like Malone the whole year.

So you are blaming Trent for Johnny offering Bridgewater?

I couldn't tell you I am not at practice nor on the bench. I was just saying that Johnny is responsible for Ben Simmons coming to LSU because he hired Patrick and did a hell of a job making Ben feel comfortable playing for him and sold Louisiana State University as a great place to play. It also helps when you have respect of notable alumni and can call Shaq and tell him to call Ben and vouch for your character and the university.
