Aranda on secondary:

“Eric Monroe will play some and Jacoby is being used more low in the box like a linebacker. Both will play some nickel”

Aranda on being a head coach:

“I’ve always wanted to do that. Somethings like that sort themselves out in time”

Aranda on LSU:
“I hope I’m here a long time”

Aranda on UCF:

“What makes them unique is their offensive tempo. We have to be concerned on the number of plays our defense is out there”

Aranda on Stingley:

“Lil Sting would’ve been great to have available for the game. Looks like the best guy we have.”

Dave kind of hinting he wants to be the head coach at LSU? Also Ensminger better get a shite load of first downs and long scoring drives because our defense will need it without depth.

Also Delpit referred to Monroe as a heavy hitter.

OFF needs to set the pace of play, and set the DEF up for success. Control the LOS, field pos, and score in the red zone. Limit UCFs possessions, frustrate them when they do have the ball, and break them (AKA LOU).

I want to see offensive progression and scoring but this game needs to be like the Louisville one. Grind their arse into the ground and keep their offense off the field.

So he does want to be a HC.

That’s great to know.

Interesting. One coach takes blame.

The other says players can't read.

Most important words he's spoken.

Now ignoramuses can stop spouting this nonsense that he doesn't want to be a HC.

What an incredible compliment to a kid that should be a senior in high school. This makes me excited for next years D, as if I already didn’t have reasons to be.

this would be great but i'm skeptical that our running game can do that.

if that's our game plan we had better be able to adjust quickly if it doesn't work out. the last thing we need is to open the game with a few 3 and outs.

I'm more concerned about winning, so I want to see 500 yards rushing and a 40 minute time of possession.

Yet no one has ever been able to find a quote. It was all hearsay.

That’s not what he said/hinted whatever you thought you read. He said if we (def) can dictate when we get off the field then we can remain in normal rotation

Interesting indeed.

The Stingley talk is quite interesting as well. It will be quite a luxury to plug him in day 1.

seriously? 21 points in regulation with his defense scoring 7. So no. It’s on the offense. I also thing giles had something to do with that. But keep trying.

I'm glad we can finally know for sure what his future plans are. He seems to be waiting for the right job.

If that's the case, I'd bet Ensminger is his best friend right now.
