lets face it....if lee wasn't put in during the uga game it isn't going to happen. We are more likely to see mett . I like lee and wish it weren't so. It is what it is

don't worry 'fans of Lee', He'll get his shot in the NFL. He had a good season here at LSU, helping the team to get to the BCSNC game. He came through when the team was counting on him. Congrats to Jarret Lee and all his biggest fans.

Those deciding who plays/who gets "yanked" are 24-2 since 2010, 13-0 in 2011, and playing for the BCS title...maybe they know who to play, when to play them, and when to yank them better than us.

You have that luxury when you're still playing better than your back-up.

If we see Lee in the final game, we're in DEEP trouble.

And not because Lee is bad, but because of how bad JJ would have to play to actually be yanked.

JJ is allowed by coaches to play horribly and still stay in there, unlike Lee. For JJ to get yanked, he'd have to be having a woeful performance, and we'd likely be out of the game or close to it.

Exactly.

Old Gary should have saw writing in the wall in the last LSU game he called.
Injury is only way jlee plays .

generally at the QB position you don't play the backup unless there is an injury. In big games you want to go with the player that gives you the best chance to win untill the game is well in hand. Hopefully Lee will get in at that point. Regardless, he was a big contributer to getting to this game this season. Without him, we would have been relying on Mett and a couple fo true freshman to pull us through when the starter was out.

Injury or ineffectiveness.

the whole offense was ineffective, you going to put all the backups in and think somehow the team is going to be more effective?

wouldn't you agree billy?

by the time you would have thought about putting in the backups, the starters started turning the game around anyway, would have been a bad move. Miles apparantly knew better than the fanturds once again. Big surprise huh?

That's kind of the point. It happens in almost every game, all the time where ineffective players are sat for a few plays. No big deal, LSU found a way to work around the QB position in that game. Miles had two choices, work around JJ or replace him and see if Lee could help move the ball. He chose the former.

There is a second act for Lee and it's called life. I have no doubt Lee will be successful in whatever path he chooses. Lee is beloved at LSU for his character. He doesn't whine, he doesn't claim to play well when he performs badly, he doesn't make excuses, and he never quits.

That is the way all of the LSU players are right?

No one is going to draft JL. For that matter, JJ will be a very late round draft at best. Neither will make a NFL roster. Neither is NFL caliber. Both are loyal Tigers though and deserve our support.

The racists would love this.

Yeah. Yeah it is. You know the name Jarrett Lee or Jordan Jefferson comes up, it's JL v. JJ thread. You know it's unavoidable.

Sad, but true.

And both sides accuse the other of being the instigators.

Fwiw, I think the QB debate is everything that is right with CFB. It shows how passionate fans are about their team. I think the people who get mad about the debate represent all that is wrong with CFB.

I personally know Mett, and last time I saw him I asked about the JL/JJ clusterfrick. He simply said JL is scared, and JJ is fearless...the whole team knows it.

Horse shite!
Maybe you know Mett. But, unless this was pillow talk I doubt he would say that about his teammate to you.

BTW, scared wouldn't be the right word. He might lose his poise but I don't think he is "scared".

Also, go eat a shotgun.
