I did watch the games and there was some bad points in the season for Jayden. There were also some good parts in his season. I feel like he has become so polarizing that people have just decided that Jayden’s whole year was either terrible or great depending on what side you take.

The truth is he was an extremely flawed QB that was the best option for the 2022 LSU football team. Time will tell if he is the best option for the 2023 football team.

Let’s bench JD5 because he still needs to improve. Instead let’s start Nuss, imagine how good he can be once he improves.

Bryce Young has 3007 passing yards this season. And is projected as the first overall pick.

He didn't play for the entire season and would have eclipsed at least 3500 had he done so. He even played hurt.

I think moving forward we are going to see QBs continue to be top LSU QBs. We had such bad QB play for so long.

Not if we keep bringing in run first QBs with mediocre to below average throwing ability.

Modern offenses are predicated on a good passion game. That's where you make the leap from good to great, because the ball flies throw the air faster than a carry from behind the line of scrimmage.

You will never see a great offense that doesn't have a great passing attack again.

Daniels is an anchor to LSU ever having a prolific passing game. He doesn't have that ability and he wasn't even close this past season.

Those NFL scouts don’t care about stats …they go by what they see on film …and he knows what draft grade they gave him

He played in 11 games. You saying he would've thrown for 500 in the 12th game?

4000 yards is pretty standard for an above avg qb.

So your saying he’s an above average QB? Because he’s right at that mark.

Most teams would kill to have an “above average QB”. Given that there are maybe 2 or 3 QBs in every class that will legitimately play significantly in the NFL at best.

So like winning the gold medal at the special olympics? Daniels is pedestrian at best.

Damn. Then where does that put the player who gives the ball to the defense more than he puts it in the end zone? He’s so gimped they won’t even let him compete in the special Olympics.

For sure. Boutte agrees.

LSU hasn’t exactly been a QB factory.

How do you calculate "average"?

2021-4872 yards
2022-3007 yards

2022 still has a game left which I suspect he will easily throw for 300-350 yards. Also forgot he missed a game. So let’s say he throws for 300 in each. That puts him at 3600 this year which would put his average as a starter well above 4K a season.

4872+3007=7879 yards

3939.5 average without his bowl game this season. That my friend is how you calculate average.

Bo Nix has 3600 yards with a game to play.

And yet he’s not a starter and the QB in front of him isn’t very good either.

In a conference that doesn’t play defense.

Awwww yes.

With that being said why didn’t JD sniff a season like Bo Nix is having this year while he was in said conference that doesn’t play defense? Please enlighten us.

Have you paid attention to bowl season so far? SEC defenses aren’t looking too hot. Especially that tough Arkansas D that held JD to 80 yards.

4000 yards over the course of 12 games is 333ypg passing or 13 games is 307 ypg. There has been 8 QBs in the history of the SEC to do that. None in 2022. But it is standard. How do some of you remember to breath?

Perhaps your academic record is below average…

Keyword: ABOVE

According to published statistics 96 ncaa quarterbacks have thrown for more than 4000 yards.

As you’ve stated and projected … take a breath yourself.

The only non run of the mill above average qb Lsu ever had was burrow. Most of the remaining would fall below the poverty line of talent.

It’s fine that you’re ok with mediocre… and mediocre lsu will remain without an above average qb.

You’re welcome.

It’s a different era of offense.

Those numbers today are not impressive.
