A dual threat is only as good as his arm. They have to respect the pass in order for the runs to open up.

No one, and I mean no one will ever respect JD5’s pass attack.

Prior to the season, I said it should be M. Brennan between the 20’s, and Daniels on third and short /in the red zone (think Taysom Hill).

It would have given the team a QB that can actually throw the ball (MB), given a dual threat (kind of) QB in Daniels, and given opponents two things to prepare for. Nuss isn’t MB as far as I have seen (not even close).

Now, teams are just game-planning to stop the run. It reminds me of Les Miles. Run, play defense, win 80% of your games.

That being said, we are 5 games into year one. The defense is pretty solid. The offense is predictable and very meh. Special teams has been atrocious. Lastly, the team is undisciplined.

4-1 is a good start considering these things.

With the schedule going forward, BK is going to have to really earn his paycheck.

Geaux Tigers!

There's NO EXCUSE for this.

How about a complete roster rebuild after being down to 39 scholarship players while still not having a full complement of scholarship players, new coaching staff, starting 2 freshmen tackles, and another oline shakeup after injury. This is a rebuilding year and we are 4-1 right now after coming away with only our 9th road game win ever against Auburn find a way to enjoy it or frick off.

I have zero issue with this for this season. That’s a 9-10 win season lol.

You’re right man. The career 55% passer with more INTs than TDs and no running ability is the better choice to win.

Why’s you leave out Nuss’s stats?

There is no excuse

But he’s better than his backup.

How many games has Nussmeier been allowed to start?

The running game I feel we could’ve utilized more last night. It was there. We also need to clean up the penalties. Seemed like every time we would do anything positive offensively the momentum was shot down by dumb penalties.

Maybe because he barely played.

Why is Nuss getting judged on a handful of throws to the exact degree Daniels is being judged after 30+ starts?

How is that a remotely fair assessment?

Is our roster worse than Mercer or San Jose St.?

There were 39 scholarship players available for bowl game, not the total number of scholarship players.

None.

So what’s the rationale here - Daniels isn’t good throwing the ball, so let’s try something that by all available metrics is worse?

Nussmeier pumpers are having a hard time coming to grips with the reality that he’s not it.

He’s got 96 attempts in games AND they see him every day in practice. He’s being judged on more than just a handful of throws.

Explain to me how you can be worse than 8/20 with 80 yards.

Nussmeier can't develop from the sidelines.

In order to be competitive in the SEC, you need to have a draft worthy QB. Not sure we even have one on the Roster at present. But the 2 QBs who have played so far aren't it.

Daniels is also dealing with a new team, a new system, new playbook, AND coming into the SEC.
