Daniels "Everybody's bigger out here, meaner...You can feel the intensity in practice

Koki Riley, Lafayette Daily Advertiser - Jayden Daniels had never been to the Deep South before.
Daniels hasn't been with LSU long, but he's learned quickly that Louisiana "breeds" receivers. Led by Boutte, LSU's receiving corps will be the deepest and most talented room he's worked with. The last time Daniels played with to NFL-caliber receivers was in his freshman season at Arizona State. With future first-round pick Brandon Aiyuk and sixth-round pick Frank Darby, Daniels threw for 2,943 yards — still a career high — while averaging nearly nine yards per attempt and only throwing two interceptions.
"Everybody's bigger out here, meaner," Daniels said with a smile. "You can feel the intensity within practice. Those guys care about football. They might've not come from anything. This is their only life, their only way out to get to where they want to be." It's why Daniels is just trying to stay upright with the likes of Ali Gaye, BJ Ojulari, Maason Smith and Jaquelin Roy, all potential first-round picks, swarming around him at practice.
"I know I just don't want to get caught," Daniels said. "I just don't want to get tackled by those kinds of guys."

I've been a Nuss guy since spring and I'm starting to lean towards JD.

I'm starting to really like Daniels, he's got this positive energy.

Understood Chicken, I just got excited reading the article. I know the rules.

I was always kind of pulling for Brennan but this Daniels kid grows on me everytime I hear him speak.
Nuss has always come across as likeable as well.
Both seem to offer a lot and if Daniels can get his mechanics in order (and by some accounts I've read, he has made great progress there) he may be better than even many of his advocates have thought.
Our QB room seems to be top notch both talent and character wise. I hope whomever is QB1 lights it up (currently think the tea leaves suggest it is Daniels).
Can't wait for the season to start.

Wasn't too long ago we were delighted with the options of Jennings/Lee talking about tDecline and the 5 for 5 recruiting fiasco

When you think about it this maybe best case scenario. We don't know what our offensive line can do just yet. If they are just mediocre, Miles would have been constantly sacked and harassed back there. This way both QB's especially Daniels has the ability to escape and extend the play. I know Miles was not as fast or mobile back there.

When you think about it LSU has two quality dual threat QB’s who are both leaders.

What is your major malfunction?

When posting an article it can only include 2 or three paragraphs. So that you have to click on to the article to read it which gives the author credit.i For clarity this was my malfunction not Chicken, I know the rules. I’m so hyped up about LSU’s quarterbacks in this offense.

Daniels and Nuss are both incredibly honest and humble. Daniels stated that he was never promised a starting job, that he would have to earn it! Don’t cheapen his hard work!

Seems like a great show of well deserved disrespect to the PAC-X
But let’s try to forget that UCLA game. Other than that, frick’em.

Get his mechanics in order? Where did that come from?
People don't realize or forget that Jayden Daniels as a True Freshman at ASU:
threw for 3,000 yards, 9 yard avg. YPC
17 TD's
2 Int.
Serious running threat
Now for our crowd who always says LSU cannot play a true freshman, these stats are bad arse for a true freshman, and you have to be talented to put up numbers like that. He did have Aiyub to throw to, but we have a stacked WR room, so JD should feast in the air and on his fast feet.
