why are people saying he was problem. doesnt matter how offense moves the ball. RB run, QB scramble, forward pass. as long as he is not turning it over positive yards on every play is the offenses objective. That is what he did with very ineffective oline play. FSU was playing man under two deep zone majority of snaps . under defenders arent watching qb so when line broke down the run was there. What you want him to do force into double coverage over the middle?

He wasn’t the problem but he played about as I expected. First read covered, tuck and run. He’s not a very good QB and you have posters on here saying he played “great.”

I’ll say he’s going to struggle in SEC play, teams are going to scheme against being able to run. He needs to learn how to read defenses and go through his progressions

26-35 209 yards 2TD 0int
16 carries for 114 yards 7.1 ypc
Zero turnovers

And his supposed best WR dropped two touchdowns

Anyone suggesting he was the problem is borderline retarded

If you told me before the game he’d have 200+ yards passing and 100+ yards rushing I’d be pumped

He’s an easy scapegoat because so many people didn’t want him to win the job in the first place.

I agree with this.

He isn't a world beater and won't be. He does run first too much, hopefully that can be corrected if the line can get some improvement.

I do believe at this point he is the best option because without his ability to run, the offense would definitely be much much worse.

That’s fair too, but when he had time he would run if the first guy was covered

The pace for 3 quarters was apparently the problem. Because if you were happy with his performance in those first 3 then we weren’t watching the same game

If he can only read 1 receiver with a quick secondary look then you have to go quick to hopefully get some additional defensive out of position reads

Even the announcers recognized he didn’t have enough time to go through his progressions. QB play was not the problem, and you just need to stop.

He left it all out there that’s for sure

Our OL is still horrible so it’s clear why he emerged over Nuss and MB. Probably should’ve got Nuss a drive in the second quarter but they shortened the game

lol they switched to tempo offense that last scoring drive of the third quarter when they should’ve been running that from the jump that’s not Daniels fault that’s the OC fault

Getting a little late for that. He probably is who he is at this point in his career. If you’re going to roll with him then I guess the only thing to do is scheme to his strengths, whatever they may be.

He’s not suddenly turning into an analytical, defense reading QB who can go through progressions quickly on the middle of the season. That’s a pipe dream.

There were times where he had time and went through his progressions. They were rare but you can’t watch his fricking head and see him donit.

OL was trash and he was cashing them for 10-15 yards pretty regularly.

Did a drive stall because he ran too much?
