That's phrased poorly.
Dan Patrick asked an LSU source "Will LSU hire someone who can recruit Arch Manning?"
Source said "Yes"
Name one fricking coach that's not going to recruit Arch Manning.
There is no slam dunk hire for Arch.
Maybe Cutcliff but he's not getting this job.
The family isn't a big fan of Lane, they love Ole Miss.
They said the front runners are
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Texas
He also said Alabama is the team to beat.
They're also saying "LSU never lands top QB's"
LSU currently has the #1 QB in the country committed.

You will NEVER see a Manning in an LSU uniform. And as if a program would base it's hire on one recruit.

Out of all of LSU's current issues, QB recruiting is not one of them (most never thought we'd be saying that ever).

I'm more concerned with hiring someone who can retain Walker Howard and the other in state commits; an added bonus woul be keeping Maason Smith and other key starters out of the portal (because they will be pursued).

I agree with the post above. With Howard here it's an even swap. We have to hire someone who brings some energy to the program, is a clear leader, and has enough time in to have his coordinators ready to follow.

Archie, Peyton, Eli, Cooper. Never won a national championship.
Alabama almost guarantees a national championship for 4 years on the team.
Also, his Heisman chances improve with winning a national championship.
