Anyone who coaches ole miss and Tennessee, and recruits against LSU.... simply does not bleed P&G.

If you read the article; all O has to do is tell him "no."

The Times-Picayune spoke with LSU defensive line coach Ed Orgeron and multiple sources about the speculation surrounding his being considered for the defensive coordinator position at Mississippi State and other schools.
Orgeron has been in contact with Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen regarding the defensive coordinator opening, according to sources, but Orgeron is extremely pleased with the situation at LSU and the feeling is that it would take something major to get him to leave LSU.
All indications are that Orgereon remains firm in his commitment to the LSU program and he doesn't figure to change his mind at this stage.
Orgeron is entering the second year of his two-year $895,000 contract. Multiple sources have confirmed that LSU and Orgeron are in talks to extend his current deal.

Leverage is all this is about, if that. Ed mighta just earned himself another 100k or so. But LSU prolly knows he doesn't wanna go anyway so maybe not

I want him to stay, but the pay difference might just be too much.

Why you hate Mullen???? He is s pretty good coach. I would take him in a heartbeat when miles decides to leave.

If Ed really wanted to be a DC then don't you think LSU would have just promoted him to DC after Steele left? O has never been a DC before in his long career for a reason. He is a very good position coach/ recruiter. Being a DC takes time away from recruiting to game plan.
