Some “Scouting Academy” guy admittedly passing along rumors that Guice has real off the field issues. Dude seems like a real POS. Guice even responded.

NFL teams purposely disseminate false information (through the media) all the time in order to try to influence other teams to do or not do something.

Maybe a team sitting at 30 LOVES a player but is pretty sure he won't be available at 30. In order to try to make sure he is, they "leak" something negative about the player in hopes that it will get the teams ahead of them to pass.

With the draft less than a month away lying season is in full swing.

Well, if this is what is going on, they could’ve at least picked a more reputable journalist to feed this info to. Nobody knows who the frick Dan Hatman is.

Correct. Also agents of RBs projected to be drafted around the same time as Guice would leak false info to potentially have their client picked earlier. Its a joke.

Awesome that he did but at the same time he needs to just stay away from the trolls

It’s a filthy business. Some underhanded shite, for sure.

No one said the draft did not have any dirty pool players - it can get rough at times, especially from the bs agents. G will be fine if he does not over react; respond respectfully & intelligently, maybe with a little satire taking a humorous shot at the source, Ha, that sounds like something an agent should be doing.

Sounds like payback for Guice speaking out about some of the questions he was asked. Media is agenda driven sometimes even when they don't know it.

I don't think this attack will hurt his value. Teams that are really interested in him will research him much more than reading an article from a questionable writer.

Guice has overcome so much with his home life from a young age that his character is probably better than nearly everybody he comes across. He always represented LSU very well.
