The hustle and effort that he showed last night got my attention. He seemed to me to make a lot of good plays.

I've never seen an LSU MLB gives up so many extra yards after contact.

I wouldn’t say good, but he did seem to be the only one on the defensive side playing with any heart out there.

It’s extremely disingenuous to not admit that Clark has improved from game 1 to last night.

The entire defense played easily well enough to win. The offense though, a whole different animal

Jesus Christ. Do you people actually watch the game or just look at the box score? He did not play well in any objective metric last night.

I especially like the way he just throws his body at people hoping they’ll fall over.

I enjoyed when he tackled Nix after a five yard gain and then immediately started flexing and shite talking. Just fantastic stuff. I think he had 1 tackle within 5 yards of the LOS.

Yeah I loved him flexing his muscles to the camera after he stopped the Auburn RB at the 1 yard line.

Is he better than he was vs UCLA? Yes. Was he good last night? No. Average at best, and probably a little below. He wasn’t awful, but he still got beat in coverage and on misdirection plays. He was soft on hits and didn’t wrap up, especially on Nix’s go-ahead TD. He’s not aggressive in getting to the ball carrier. There’s still too much wrong to say he’s good.

I really wanted Clark to make a huge leap this season, but he’s just not an MLB. Hopefully he can find a 3-4 team in the league who will look at him as an edge rusher like he played here in 2019. He’s good in that role.
