O has made a joke of himself and LSU. That's a problem that he is either unaware of or is not worried about.

That's our problem. Woody we need you.

Dude looked lost and literally had receivers running past him while he stared at them. But yeah, great game. A slow walk-on Tight End burned his arse several times.

The exact numbers are in the Play by Play report in the Box Score. It starts on Page 8. Clark was in on 9 tackles on plays under 10 yards (4, 0, 1, 0, 4, 5, 3, 5, 3).

You are trying to explain this to a bunch of Level 4 Madden League championship coaches living in their mom's basement. Facts dont matter.
The flip side of these arguments on Clark are that if he is that bad then the others on the field are really shitty

He obviously misjudged that, and thought Brown was going out of bounds. He may have been thinking about avoiding a late hit. I'm not sure. But you watch Clark throughout that game. He leaves no questions about effort. I'm sure you dumb fricks will do a GIF for all the plays Clark makes this year. It'll take a lot of effort because he's going to make a lot.

I found the other angle of that play. It's worse than before LINK

I thought he only got one hand on him but he got two and did a half shove thing. Seriously this is shitty lb play for any level of football

Your post was inaccurate and had an idiotic premise. Now, if you want to give him a fair critique on insticts and run fits, okay. But you've got to give him credit on what he did well or it's meaningless to me. Far too much extreme negativity from a bunch of idiots on here. Clark had a good game overall vs. UCLA.

Lord have mercy man. You can't with a straight face be insulting people's intelligence in the same sentence of saying Clark had a good game. That is about as arse backwards as someone can be. It is very apparent you have zero football knowledge. If you can't see that Clark has and is struggling, there is no helping you. I'm sorry if he is a relative or close friend, but don't act like everyone is an idiot for calling out the very obvious fact that he has been playing horribly for the last 11 games.

he was terrible. No other way to put it. He’s one of the worst linebackers LSU has had in a long time

Damone Clark is delusional. I had a better game than him, I was drunk and laying in bed by the 3rd quarter.

Do damn discipline, no gap or eye discipline and obviously not reading run/pass keys. But he had a great game because he had all those tackles. Hell, 4-5 tackles, maybe more, could have been at or just beyond LOS instead of 20 yards down the field had he done his job right.

he had a good game, not a great game. he made some mistakes. But a lot of his tackles were cleaning up issues from the other LB.

I noticed early on a lot of people were given the LBs crap for their first TD. It was 100% Todd Harris taking the flat when that kid was covered.

People want to get on junior Stingley for not being a leader yet you have the senior inside linebacker (the typical leader of most defenses), wearing #18 saying he thinks he played well when he looked like one of, if not the worst player out there.

This is complete horseshite. He was the best LB wearing white out there. He has issues, but he wasn't the worst player out there. Harris gave up the first big td by taking the guy in the flat WHO WAS ALREADY COVERED and leaving the middle open. He often cleaned up plays ran to the outside or through C gap that the OLB didn't make. Frick off with that shite.

Wrong. Baskerville was.

Correct, he was tied with Harris.

He literally never steps towards the LOS he shuffles down the lines or runs backwards. That is not how you play good LB. Devin White was an great example on how when you see a whole in line, you attack and make play in backfield.

He lacks aggression.

Was about to say this reminds of JJ after 1/9/12 when he said he thought he played great.

That's a fair take on his game.

One thing I'd do with Clark is blitz him periodically throughout the game. His instincts aren't the best sometimes. And just like Saban always harps on going against human nature to be dominant, blitzing Clark would help with the fundamental tendency we have as humans to do what we have done. I'd blitz him against the run and pass. He's got the speed to get to the QB, and he's got ability with strength and speed to blow up O-linemen. So he can be good as a blitzer, and I think that could get him in that mode of aggressively going forward and blowing up plays more.

That's about as far as I'll go with a critique here, because there's way too much unfair criticism from people who don't know what they're talking about. I think it's partly because he's wearing #18, so people are putting too much blame on him for overall struggles on D.
