The guy posted that Muschamp would be our DC and that coach O and Wilson would remain on staff! How is this anything but fantasy?

Even now he still has some of these people fooled. This is without a doubt the best troll job in the history of this site.

Although the very article linked in this thread has been updated, noting that Alexander nixed the deal on Wednesday of last week. Who knows what actually happened.

It's also possible that the school and athletic department are now trying to do some damage control and pretend like Miles' job wasn't in jeopardy Saturday.

It's better to pretend like he was right than it is for them to admit they were fooled.

At minimum, since he was so forth coming with all of the information beforehand, why not come back and say something?

At least explain what happened since he is in the know.

The left-wing extremist school president put his left-wing politics ahead of the best interests of the school and football program.

I agree, and you always have to know done deal is never truly legit until you see an announcement.

Oh well, we learned a great lesson here.

I believe they really got uncomfortable with the money, because of LSU and the states financial situation.. even though the money wouldn't come from them! So stupid, but they cared about how it would look. So stupid.. and the public/media crying for Les didn't help either. What a mess.

McKay is trying to save face.

I in now way buy that they had Jimbo in the bag and the president scrapped it at the 11th hour. Now once Jimbo said no, I could see him not allowing us to fire him then.

He's not coming back because he doesn't know shite. I cannot believe how many of you are still fooled. It's really pathetic honestly.

yup, people are so upset with him. which is fine, but it looks like all his info was correct.

again, don't ever believe anything is a done deal until you see writing/official announcement.

sucks for him

DALSU posted vague cryptic shite at off hours, none of which came true. "Done deal" is a pretty simple concept, not to mention his predictions of staff changes that were ridiculous to begin with. As if Jimbo had already assembled a fricking staff.

You think the politicians stepping in at the last minute and stopping a deal is made up? Did you read Scott McKay's article on it?

Done Deal means no one will nix it. It was bad info period.

A done deal before a signing doesn't/can't mean that the papers have been signed. Until papers are signed there is no way to know for sure that Jimbo isn't playing LSU.

So a done deal shouldn't mean that it is already inked when Les hasn't coached his last game yet. Done deal that he was referring to is that LSU had made up its mind AT THAT POINT to fire les and hire Jimbo. LSU and or Jimbo backed out.

Put another way a done deal at that point means negotiations are over and both sides have agreed to the terms.
