You are right hunt hasn’t posted his projections, but he posted that 8 teams have a better resume than us.

They had us at 5 but then said well Auburn swept LSU and Georgia swept Auburn so we have to put them ahead. Of course that was the case last week too and it didn’t matter at all

It’s 100% sure thing at this point.

How do we go from a 2 to 7 with a road series win and just 1 loss. These other teams lost 1 or 2 as well. Explain it to me like I’m a fifth grader. Did our RPI drop after losing Thursday, or just in general for playing a bad USCe team?

For the love of god will this board stop putting these media clowns up with this stuff? It's to get you to click and make money.

Nobody who follows baseball thinks this is happening to LSU. Nobody because it makes no sense. He's even twisting it to justify what he can throwing these rankings up and they're just silly.

looks like they are weighing RPI heavily.
LSU and Vandy both have 19 SEC wins, Georgia has 18 and Auburn has 17

RPI
1 Georgia
2 Auburn
3 Vandy
4 TX
5 Arkansas
8 LSU

just as long as LSU is a top 8 a week from monday, I am happy

He posted that to show how one could argue that each of those teams could be seeded ahead of LSU. He did not project that. He is on record saying that he thinks LSU will be a top 8 seed. The OP completely made up that he is projecting LSU as a 9 seed.

What are we putting the odds at that we are top 8? 98%?

D1 goes:
1 Texas
2 Arkansas
3 Vanderbilt
4 North Carolina
5 Georgia
6 Auburn
7 LSU
8 Oregon

RPI is:
1 Georgia
2 Auburn
3 Vanderbilt
4 Texas
5 Arkansas
6 Oregon St
7 UNC
8 LSU

So SEC standings takes a backseat right after #2 for D1 and something else like standings AND RPI becomes more important. Seems like moving goal posts.

Hunt uses RPI, Conference Record, Head to Head, Quad 1 wins / record, but only when it’s a convenient metric to argue against LSU. Clown

It’s because he is saying how each team could make their argument to be ahead of LSU. He is not saying that he would have those 8 teams above LSU. Everyone in this thread is too dense to see that and just believe it because you said it in your OP.

Laughable. We took 2/3 firm Arkansas. The end

Pretty sure a 19 win team is 100% since they started seeding teams 1-16 like the current system. We are in

Over the past ten years, 9 teams have finished with 19 SEC wins and 8 have gotten a top 8 seed. The only team to be outside the top 8 with 19 conference wins was Kentucky in 2017.

Hunt Palmer’s projections have the Tigers as the 9 overall seed. Here’s his explanation and why he put LSU behind these 8 teams:
No, they didn't.

His tweet was an example of how LSU could fall to 9. Not that they would fall to 9. He said he's 90% sure we're a top 8 seed. I think it's a lock, but a ton of people are missing the point of his tweet entirely.

And no other fan base cares nearly as much as LSU fans, so why not put them on the bubble for shots and giggles.
