Florida got in one year as an at large with a record that was a game over .500, so there is precedent. As a matter of fact, I think they went 0-2 in their regional and ended up with a losing record overall.

I think there are plenty of northern teams that would love to come down in feb. And March.

I would love to see a mid-week game against Florida St in Biloxi or Pensacola. Its likely not feasible due to lost revenue of home game and travel, but it would be cool.

If you really listen to Etheridge, LSU is behind every other SEC team with 13 wins based on his comment defending SCe.
His comment on “not all Q1 wins or losses are the same was posturing for that.

Could be wrong but if both 1 seeds lose then it goes to a bid.

One problem. They have Vandy in the last 4 in and specifically stated SC was behind the other 13-win teams elsewhere. Either he was overruled by the rest of the D1 staff or you are misinterpreting his comment.

How is OU projected a 7th overall seed with 18 losses? They are 16th in RPI

He was overruled by the other 2.
The committee will look at head to head first if everything else is the same.

If I’m on the committee, I look at where the head to head was played and how did the teams match-up then at the KPI.

It is really not that hard when comparing similar résumé’s from the same conference.

I didn’t even relook at the picture but I believe they had oklahoma in bold meaning they expect them to be conference champions and that would probably boost their RPI into top 12 Atleast.

So, then 2 of the 3 disagree with you and think SC and Vandy belong behind LSU. I don’t think any of them are the sole arbiters here, but you can’t just pick and choose the arguments you like. In any case, they still have all 11 teams in the field, which the result that makes the most sense unless Florida is penalized for their poor non-conference performance.

Except they are judging teams based on their ENTIRE resumes, not just conference games. It’s ridiculous to decide who’s in or out based on one WP on a strikeout instead of the 10 losses Florida had against teams outside the Top 40.

They agree there’s no doubt LSU is one of the best at large teams right now. I think we’re going to be in even with a loss to UGA. May be the last team in though.

I hope you're correct. But let's not risk it - let's just beat Georgia's arse in the morning and solidify it.
