Arkansas is good. Gonna take our best to beat em. They're probably the odds on favorite to win the whole deal. That being said, I'd rather play them the 2nd game in winners bracket myself.

I don't like the idea of reseeding. Even though it would benefit us this year. Its a tournament and thats what make the tournament fun. Reseeding only helps the higher seeded teams.

town population size

this is the most weighted part of the seeding process, if we could somehow work on increasing Baton Rouge's population we would see much better seeding in future tournaments

Once the field is set. The top 2 teams facing each other in rd 1 makes no sense. If you win you're definitely in a great position but damn that's a tough draw for both teams.
The field was set 3 weeks ago with 64 teams. Omaha is just the last week of the tournament.

The Elite 8 isn't played at a common venue.

So should the NCAA reseed every round since those venues are common? Should they reseed the Final 4?

It's a silly waste of time. Teams are seeded and bracketed. That's the bracket.

Nobody’s afraid of Arky. That being said I do think they are far and away the best team in the CWS. Sucks they and LSU are on same side of bracket.

Having Kade on the mound GM 1 is huge for us and I like our chances. Arky is really good and that team is designed for a CWS series run. It’s all going to come down to that Round 1 game being us

It’s a tournament. It’s a different location with a different name but there isn’t a need to re-seed just because it helps my team this year.

it would help our team most years.

It’s not just Arkansas guys. This field is wide open and while we have as good as chance as any, it will not be easy

CCU, UCLA, Murray, Louisville and others can all cause trouble.

Here’s to a good week ahead!! Geaux Tigers

No, for the same reason it would be dumb to re-seed the basketball tournament when we get to the elite eight. Sometimes this is just how it goes

Friday:
1:00 7 Louisville vs 2 LSU
6:00 6 Arizona vs 3 Oregon State

Saturday:
1:00 8 Murray State / Duke vs 1 Arkansas
6:00 5 UCLA vs 4 Coastal Carolina

Obviously, I agree with the top 5 as it's simply just taking the top seeds in the same order and filling in the top. But I would think the other 3 spots could still be shuffled up differently.

If Duke wins:
I think Louisville would be the 6th overall (2 seed at #1 site)
Duke would be 7th (2 seed at 7th site)
Arizona would be 8th (2 seed at 12th site)

If Murray St wins
I think Louisville would be the 6th overall (2 seed at #1 site)
Arizona would be 7th (2 seed at 12th site)
Murray State would be 8th as a 4 seed.

Then you get the 1 vs 8 & 4 vs 5 1 day, and 2 vs 7 & 3 vs 6 the other day

Comparing baseball to basketball is NOT THE SAME. Reseeding in basketball would be dumb, not so much in baseball.

Basketball always has there best players on the floor, not so much for baseball. So winning or losing your first game is huge. Clear advantage for teams that wins their first game. So why should lower seeds get the advantage of playing lesser teams in the World Series?

IMHO, I think the NFL gets it right and college baseball should follow suit. Baseball teams have earned their right to have the advantage in the college World Series through a long and tough schedule.

This is new age BS. Should they reseed the NCAA basketball tournament after each round? Just win. No need for gimmicks

There is a need to reseed absolutely...regardless if lSU in impacted. Makes no sense not to...this isn't just because of LSU this year. The top 2 teams by far shouldn't be playing the first game.

Stfu. Arkansas and LSU have both been the favorites to win it all for several weeks now. No way they should be playing g game one. They should be meeting g in the finals.

Yes it it, but either way sometimes this is just how it is. Quit trying to manufacture results/matchups.
