It isn't a new argument. It's what I've been saying the whole time. We would have to win an extra game in a row after our loss to make it to the championship series.
I already said I'm fully aware you have to go 4-1 no matter which game you lose. It doesn't change the fact that winning game 1 and losing game 2 is easier in regards to making it to the big show as opposed to losing game 1 and reeling off 4 wins in a row.
And I also stated earlier, winning game 1 is probably more mentally easing than automatically having your back against the wall.
And regardless if our ace would be pitching in an elimination game, our bats probably wouldn't help the cause.

Seriously, what player that has decided to move on as a MLB draft pick would give a shite about this? Bregman has 7 mil waiting for him. Stevenson 1.5. and all the other Seniors & Juniors who's declared. Why would they give a shite. It's meaningless.

No, but when one thing is clearly n outlier, you can take it with a grain of salt.
He has 1 win at the CWS outside of that year and since then has had embarrassing showings in the regionals and super-regionals.
If say LSU had gone even 1-2 in several of those years, fine, but he's never won a CWS game outside o 2009 other than a loser's bracket game once. Think about that.
I am not saying the guy is a horrible coach. I think he is a solid coach, but his teams historically don't perform well in the post-season.
