Huh? Vandy will be either 1 or 2, Arkansas will be 3, and State will be 4. We can’t get in the top 12 so there is no way to guarantee not playing an SEC opponent. I would personally not be opposed to going to Starkville either

He is assuming UCLA will be the 1 (hence why we need to get the 16) and assuming the other SEC teams will be 2-5 (hence why we would need to he 11-9) to avoid SEC teams in Supers.

It's pretty likely actually. Probably best chance to break it up is Vandy at 1 and UCLA at 2. The 4 SEC schools are on a different level, along with UCLA. And none are faltering in the tournament yet either.

I think the OP is saying that regional hosts from the same conference can't be paired in the bracket. So the possible slots are limited in the 13-16 range. Is that a rule since the committee starting seeding 1-16?

No. They can be matched with SEC schools.

I think y’all are thinking too logically on the seeding. Rarely does the seeding go the way people expect. The top 8 are usually about what we figure but the order is often confusing

If we can get away from UCLA or Vandy, that would be great.
I'd rather not go to Arky or Miss St, either. Not too sure what to think about going to Georgia or Louisville. Not worried about going to the rest of the potential top 8s.
