I think this is awesome news, but the intensity from Billy G would be aswesome on the sidelines as well.

was talked about earlier in the year, being done so that Crowton has more face time with the QB between series...

Given our QB situation this will be more important than calling the plays IMO.

I'd almost prefer Gonzales on sidelines because of his intensity, a lah Muschamp but offensive.

You need someone who knows football up there. Someone who understands what D is doing against us. Crowton in the booth = no change imo. I inmagine this is like a slap to GC.

Are there any OCs that usually stay on the sideline in CFB ?

As long as someone is there to talk to Jefferson when he comes off the sideline.

It's been absolutely pathetic for the last two seasons to watch two young QBs (Lee and Jefferson) come off the sideline and not one coach talks to them about what they are seeing.

It is one of the biggest coaching blunders under the Miles regime.

It absolutely infuriated me the past two years.

There is absolutely no excuse for LSU not having a QB coach on staff. Crowton is a terrible developer of QB talent - this is obvious when you look at his career. When you pair this with that fact that he doesn't even talk to his QB during games, you have a recipe for disaster.

Every time they would show JJ or Lee on the sideline all by themselves. It was fricking embarrassing.

More ammunition for people who have their eyes wide open and not closed/heads buried in the sand.

I thought BG was going to be the new designated Les Miles "hand holder" and clock management specialist down there on the sideline.

I'm a firm believer and have been saying this for some time now....GC should be on the sidelines to get a more effective feel for the game. How can you look into your QB's eyes from the booth or talking to them over the Dominoes Pizza Line??

I feel Gonzo should be on the sidelines as well. We need more intense coaches running around slapping headgear and getting these kids fired up!

How about we gain more than 60?yds rush and just beat OM outright?
I want us to be the team trying to run the clock out, not stop it.

So why did we bring Crowton back for this season again? Les protecting his buddies?
