Logic dictates that it is not required that one coach be considered great and the other be considered not. Their legacies are mutually exclusive. It is reasonable to say that Miles is one of the best coaches and Saban is also one of the best coaches. Saban is probably better, but that does not diminish Miles' perception as a coach, except for fact that they go up against each other every year.
People who decide that Miles either must be better than potentially the best coach or be considered a poor coach are imbeciles. We all wish Miles was the greatest coach to walk the sidelines, and maybe one day he will overtake Saban, but this false dichotomy is getting old.
Some people have accepted the fact that Saban is not our coach and there is nothing that will change that. Some people understand that while we may have a coach that is not as good as the last one, the odds that we will replace Miles with one who has equal or greater success than either of them is slim. You obviously have not.

Your point about replacing Miles is well taken, but misses what I am saying. Miles has been, is and will be compared to Saban. Little else matters. There is no denying that CLM has a great record at LSU. It follows that he is a very good coach.
I am trying to bring a perspective regarding dissatisfaction expressed over Miles's performance at critical times. His failings have come at a time when Saban is succeeding. I do not wish for Saban to return to LSU, but that CLM would beat him decisively.
