Crazy to think Brian Kelly "could be" LSUs best football coach in program History.

Just saying. I was always optimistic about Kelly seeing what he did at ND with tighter restrictions as far as recruiting goes. Listening to how well he runs a program behind the scenes has me now very excited to see what can happen when all the stars align. The man can obviously recruit as we have seen in recent weeks and the sky is the limit now.
The reason I say he "could be" the best of any our coaches (including Saban) is where he is at in his career with his knowledge and experience at high levels like ND and is further along at 60 than when Nick was here at 50. 10 years is alot of years to study the game and understand the nuances of everything that goes along with it.
I won't waste any time in comparing BK to Miles or Ed although they are quality coaches in their own right and I don't want to bash them since they both brought us titles. I think we all know he is light years ahead of O in all aspects and while Miles ran a quality program, he wasn't the greatest on field coach.
Another thing I appreciate more now after digesting his hire is that BK saw the opportunity and wasn't too proud to see the advantages on the Bayou vs South Bend Indiana. BK jumped at the opportunity rather than riding into the sunset after a great career in the Midwest. He wasn't going anywhere if he wanted to stay. He ran a quality competitive program that ND could be proud of. Unless they change recruiting restrictions, I really don't see anyone doing better up there.
BK shows he also has a great passion for football at his young age of 60 and wants championships and to win in the greatest football conference in the country.
Very happy to see the program will be returning to glory very soon.
Cart ahead of the horse you say, maybe, but it's fun talking about it now with extreme optimism.

You’re pushing it. BK has a great opportunity to unseat NS as LSU’s greatest coach ever.

"Could be".
Downvoters aren't used to seeing something positive so they automatically downvote.

I think Saban only touched the surface of his greatness here and took it to another level after he left taking notes in the NFL and back to Bama to become even greater than he was at LSU.
Saying that I do believe BK is a Top 5 coach in college ball and at "this point" further along than when Nick was here.

Good advice. So many guys deciding what the BK era will look like without seeing one game

I have high hopes but my expectations will remain tamped until we see a few games at least.

In fairness Brian Kelly is by far the most accomplished coach when hired at LSU. He has a NC appearance, and two playoff appearances. Hard not to be excited about the future.

The recruiting while it was early was a slight concern, but I think we have found our stride and it will get better and better as we win again.

Miles was better than Saban in totality. O had a better season than any of them.

Kelly has big shoes to fill.

I personally believe his best years are ahead of him. If he can give us 8-10 solid years we are in for a treat.
